Bible Verse of the Day – John 8:32 “And Ye Shall Know the Truth and the Truth Shall Set You Free.”

Victory In Jesus, the Truth Sets Us Free

Despite what trials and tribulations befall us, we have victory through the truth of Christ and His redemption.

This is an often-quoted, highly cited Bible Verse from the New Testament. And with good reason. It is a simple, yet powerful, verse.

John 8:32
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”

Quite simply, knowledge of the truth of God as revealed in Jesus Christ, sets you free of the chains and bondage of the world and those who are in the dark to the reality of God and the Truth of Jesus Christ and His message.

Those who know this truth, and have accepted it, will be free in the knowledge and wisdom it brings. And will find comfort within the midst of chaos, because they know their Redeemer Lives.

Bible Verse of the Day – For God’s Anger Is But For A Moment… But His Favor Is For a Lifetime – Psalm 30:5

Psalm 30:5 - His Anger May Last A Moment, But His Favor Lasts A Lifetime

Thanks to Vincent James of Flickr dot com for this great photo of Psalm 30:5

The Bible, Old Testament Book of Psalms, Chapter 30 verse 5, is an beautiful, succint, uplifting quote that should serve as a rock for life.

Psalm 30:5 AMP
“For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

The latter part of the verse, “Joy comes in the morning”, is a well known saying, and tells us that no matter how difficult times are, no matter what is going on in our lives to build hardship, anger, bitterness, etc. in us… it will all dissipate if you can only shift your perspective to see the next day, the morning, as a fresh start.

But what is even more interesting in my eyes is the little-quoted first section of the verse. It says, in no uncertain terms, that knowing God and living a life dedicated to Jesus Christ puts us in God’s favor FOREVER. I always say that God does not unsave anyone… in fact the Bible says the opposite, it says God will leave His entire flock of sheep to save that one who has gone astray. Once you are God’s child, you are always God’s child, and your favor with Him is eternal, unconditional, and everlasting. No matter what you do, God loves you. He loved you so much He died for you… even before you knew Him. For your righteousness is as of dirty rags to God… it is nothing YOU do that makes you favorable to God. For God gives His salvation freely thus none can boast. Yet by accepting His free gift, you become one of His children, and entitled to all the riches and glory in Christ that He provides. It is a gift, and a sacrifice, worth rejoicing over. So when joy comes in the morning, be glad. For God is with you. And never shall He depart.

Bible Verse of the Day – Through Love Serve One Another… You Were Called To Freedom (Galations 5:13-15)

President George Washington Praying At the Battle of Valley Forge Art

You are called to Freedom... USA's 1st President, George Washington, was a praying man.

There is absolute Freedom in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Freedom from bondage, freedom from despair, freedom from the things of this world that tie us down. We are called to use that freedom to serve one another and love all our Brothers in Christ and in the church and all the people of the world. “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” is the commandment!

Bible Verse of the Day – New Testament: Galatians 5:13-15
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.”

Verse of the Day – If We Die With Him, We Also Live With Him. Doing Good Silences the Foolish. Honor Everyone Fear God Love the Brotherhood Honor the Emperor

We Love Cause He First Loved Us

God is Love. We love because He first loved us.

Today I present you with TWO verses from the New Testament of the Holy Bible, each equally compelling: 2nd Timothy Chapter 2, verses 11-13 and 1st Peter Chapter 2, verses 15-17. The first one tells believers that God is faithful in His Word, and that those who accept Jesus, will be accepted by God. But those who deny Jesus, will be denied by God. As God “remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.”

‎2 Timothy 2:11-13
“It is a trustworthy statement:
For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He also will deny us; If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.”

I absolutely love this second verse, which talks about how doing good silences fools. And puts in clear perspective, without ability to debate, how the Bible encourages people to be good, moral, upstanding citizens. You can’t parse words with short phrases like “Honor everyone”, “Love the brotherhood”, “Fear God” and “Honor the Emperor”. Clear and concise.

1 Peter 2:15-17
“For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.”

Bible Verse of the Day – Proverbs 10:12 ‎Hatred Stirs Up Dissension, But Love Covers Over All Wrongs

The Cross is Love

God loves you. More than you can ever comprehend.

Want a Bible verse of infinite wisdom? Here is a good one:

“Hatred Stirs Up Dissension, But Love Covers Over All Wrongs.” – Proverbs 10:12 ‎

Remember that love is the most powerful Commandment, it is literally the commandment for which all other Commandments lean on. Without love, you are nothing. And without love, God cannot, and will not, use you. Love is powerful, and all problems ultimately, can be solved by love.

Biblical Love. Literally.

The Bible and Love Go Hand-In-Hand.

Verse of the Day – Psalm 103:12 “As far as the East is from the West…He removed our transgressions from us.”

Psalm 103:12

Remember that God has removed your transgressions (sins) as far as the East is from the West! Through the Salvation of the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ at the Cross.

An Almighty verse that really proves out God’s love for His Creation is Psalm 103:12:

“As far as the East is from the West, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.”

A mistake people often make is in thinking that it is sinning that sends one to Hell. In reality there is only one sin that sends one to Hell, and that is the absence of a covering for that sin that one is born into; accepting the Salvation of Jesus Christ.

For “all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God” and Salvation is a “free gift, thus none can boast.” Likewise, this verse highlights how God sees our sin once we have accepted Salvation… He removes it from us as far as the East is from the West!

Verse of the Day – Romans 14, Welcome the Weak In Faith

Cross and Candles - Romans 14

Beautiful image of the cross, bright red candles and Romans 14.

Romans 14: Verses 1-4 “As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.” – The Bible, New Testament

This is an outstanding verse that really speaks volumes about how Christians are supposed to treat others. As is well-known, judging others for any reason is not allowed, and Christians should try hard to abstain from it.

Quote of the Day – A Man Is Judged By His Deeds, Not His Words

The Penalty of Stoning

The penalty of stoning; abolished by Jesus. If you are sinless, cast the first stone.

There is an old Russian proverb that goes something like this,

“Judge a man not by his words, but by his deeds.”

If you enjoy this article please like it at the top of the website and share it on Facebook and Twitter, I’d greatly appreciate it! And leave a comment if you’re so inclined. :)

It sounds cool whichever way you frame it or arrange the words, and certainly, it rings true. It also parellels nicely with the teachings of the Holy Bible, such as the verses below.

“Even children are known by the way they act, whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right.” – Proverbs 20:11
“God will give to each person according to what he has done.” – Romans 2:6
“You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act.” – Mathew 7:6
“As the old saying goes, ‘From evildoers come evil deeds,’ so My hand will not touch you.” – 1 Samuel 24:13
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22
“But someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have deeds.’ Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.” – James 2:18

Verse of the Day – His Favor Is Life, Joy Comes In the Morning

Psalm 30:5 - Morning

How blessed we are to have His favor

The Bible, Psalm 30:5 (Amplified Bible)
“For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

If you enjoy this article and Bible verse, please like it at the top of the website and share it on Facebook and Twitter, I’d greatly appreciate it! And leave a comment if you’re so inclined. :)

Let this verse sink in for a moment. Imagine that one of your kids does something to anger you. Something you disapprove of. You may get angry for a moment and want to slap them; but no matter WHAT, they are your kids. And they will always have your favor. Above anyone else who’ll walk this earth.

That is how our Heavenly Father sees us. The Blood of Jesus wipes our dirty sin clean. We are as white as snow unto His eyes, and His favor has left us not. We can take comfort in that, and know that no matter what is happening in our lives. What trials, tribulations, depression we are going through, “Joy comes in the morning.”

Sit back and wait until the next sunrise. For God is still smiling upon you, and life is good.

This verse reminds me of this song by P.O.D. Enjoy :)
