Netflix May 2026: What’s New on the Streaming Platform

Get ready for a packed month of entertainment as Netflix unveils its lineup for May 2026. Whether you’re a fan of gripping mysteries, classic adaptations, or star-studded originals, there’s something for everyone.

Among the highly anticipated releases is the second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, arriving on May 27th, promising more complex puzzles for Emma Meyers to unravel. Fans of literary adaptations can also look forward to Lord of the Flies, a new Netflix original limited series based on the iconic novel, set to premiere on May 4th.

A significant new offering this month is The Boroughs, a series produced by The Duffer Brothers, known for their work on Stranger Things. Debuting on May 21st, this show features a unique cast, including Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Bill Pullman, Clarke Peters, and Denis O’Hare, who will investigate supernatural phenomena within a retirement community. Given the Duffer Brothers’ track record, The Boroughs is poised to be a noteworthy addition to television.

In addition to these major highlights, a substantial collection of other series and films will become available throughout May, with many arriving in the early days of the month. Here’s a comprehensive look at what to expect:
