The world of Resident Evil has finally met its match in a collaboration with the iconic Monster Hunter series.
The collaboration is being delivered through Resident Evil Survival Unit, a mobile game set in a post-apocalyptic Resident Evil universe. Survival Unit is a mobile strategy game co-developed by Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY Corporation, with CAPCOM’s famous Monster Hunter Series now joining the post-apocalyptic fray.

Monster Hunter is all about fighting huge monsters with mostly brute force, but there is also the strategic factor, like making sure that you have the right buffs and equipment. Resident Evil Survival Unit takes full advantage of Monster Hunter’s strategic factor in the collaboration by using the tactical aspect that Survival Unit thrives on.
Resident Evil Survival Unit was released in 2025 as a survival-horror strategy game designed solely for mobile devices. Players step into the shoes of many classic Resident Evil survivors like Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine, and subsequently plan and prepare at the mansion.
The mansion functions as both a stronghold where the characters interact and an area to buy new items from the iconic Resident Evil 4 merchant. After assembling a team of ace bio-organic weapon killers, you will then take part in a series of real-time battles where strategy is key.
The collaboration will start off by adding multiple Monster Hunter–inspired elements into Survival Unit, with, of course, giant monster encounters. Aside from that aspect, there will also be exclusive events and special rewards for everyone who participates in the crossover. Starting on July 2nd, 2026 and lasting until July 29th, 2026, the collaboration will be available to all players on Android, iPad and iPhone IOS devices.
More details for the event will gradually be revealed and explained at a later date through in-game notices and social media updates, so keep an eye out to know the future details of what Resident Evil Survival Unit and Monster Hunter have planned.
