Pokémon TCG Pocket: Mega Shine Booster Pack Unveils Shiny Mega Evolutions and New Events
Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to release a new booster pack, "Mega Shine," bringing exciting new content to players.
Launching on March 25th, the Mega Shine booster pack introduces shiny versions of Mega Evolved Pokémon, including fan favorites like Mega Charizard X and Mega Gengar, among others. A unique and visually appealing feature of this update is that these new shiny cards will shimmer with light when viewed by moving your phone, adding an immersive element to collecting.
Alongside these new cards come updated gameplay mechanics. Players who manage to knock out a Mega Evolution card instantly secure a win by gaining three points. The evolution process for Mega cards has also been refined: they can exist as Basic, Stage 1, or Stage 2 cards, allowing direct evolution from a Basic or Stage 1 card. For instance, a Mega Charizard X can evolve directly from a Charmander, whereas a Mega Mawile functions as a Basic card requiring no prior evolution.
In addition to the new cards, Pokémon TCG Pocket will host several events through late April. The Mega Shine Emblem Event, running from late March to early April, offers players chances to earn new emblems, Shinedust, and more through battles. Following this, the Community Week Event in early April encourages card trading among trainers, providing opportunities to acquire trade hourglasses, special accessories, and other rewards.
Further events include the Slowpoke Drop Event, scheduled from early to mid-April, featuring special solo battles that reward players with B Series promo packs vol. 6. Concurrently, the Wonder Pick Event, also running from early to mid-April, will feature Gastly and Wigglytuff cards appearing in wonder picks, along with missions that grant event shop tickets, redeemable for promo cards at the in-game shop.
Pokémon TCG Pocket players can now dive into the world of Mega-Evolved Shiny Pokémon by opening these exciting new booster packs and participating in the upcoming events.
