Digital Extremes, renowned for its popular free-to-play action-adventure title Warframe and the highly anticipated Soulframe, has unveiled an extensive lineup of activities and reveals for Summer Game Fest 2026. The event, taking place both online and on-site in Los Angeles from June 4th to 8th, will offer a wealth of content for both veteran players and newcomers.
As Warframe marks its 13th anniversary, Digital Extremes is set to deliver fresh experiences. The upcoming showcase will provide a significant new look at Soulframe, a game that promises a distinct departure from Warframe‘s sci-fi aesthetic while retaining its core free-to-play action-adventure gameplay. Soulframe immerses players in a medieval fantasy setting, where they’ll control an Envoy wielding Fey magic, featuring a deep magic system comparable to Warframe‘s abilities.
Digital Extremes at Summer Game Fest: What to Expect
Women-Led Games Summer Showcase – Thursday, June 4th, 4:00 PM PST
Warframe Creative Director Rebecca Ford and Community Director Megan Everett will co-host the Women-Led Games Summer Showcase. This segment will highlight games from women-led and majority-women development teams and will feature trailers for new content from both Warframe and Soulframe. Viewers can tune in on The Game Awards’ YouTube and Twitch channels.
Summer Game Fest Showcase – Friday, June 5th, 2:00 PM PST
A world-premiere trailer for Soulframe will be unveiled during the main Summer Game Fest Showcase. This broadcast will be streamed on The Game Awards’ YouTube and Twitch channels. Furthermore, viewers who link their Twitch and Warframe accounts and watch the showcase for at least 30 minutes will receive a free Dante Warframe as a Twitch Drop.
ARK/8 Fashion Collaboration & Pop-Up – June 5th-8th, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM PST
In partnership with ARK/8, Digital Extremes is hosting a pop-up shop in Los Angeles (115 S La Brea Ave). The event will feature various activities, including gifts and giveaways. Purchases of Warframe merchandise exceeding $150 USD will grant buyers 1025 Platinum in Warframe. Exclusive items from the pop-up will be available on the ARK/8 website at a later date. The schedule includes:
- Friday at 7:00 PM PST: Warframe Trivia Quiz with prizes from the apparel collection.
- Saturday & Sunday from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM PST: Apparel customization by an artist, allowing attendees to add their gamertag/username.
- Monday at 12:00 PM PST: ARK/8 Simulacrum, offering carnival-style challenges with real-world rewards, where participants can use 25 shots and a secondary weapon.
Summer Game Fest Play Days Cafe – June 6th-8th, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Celebrating Warframe‘s 13th anniversary, an exclusive themed cafe and coffee shop, in collaboration with Cognoscenti Coffee Roasters, will be available on the Summer Game Fest Play Days campus. The area will feature photo booths for both Warframe and Soulframe, themed beverages, and giveaways. The 13th customer of the day will receive a special in-game item for Warframe. Additionally, all Play Days attendees will receive a closed Alpha playtest code for Soulframe Preludes in their official Summer Game Fest swag bag.
