Magic: The Gathering Welcomes Hatsune Miku with Exclusive Secret Lair Commander Deck

Magic: The Gathering is set to release a brand-new Commander pre-constructed deck featuring the internationally renowned virtual idol, Hatsune Miku. This exciting collaboration, part of the popular Secret Lair series, aims to make exclusive content more accessible to fans.

Secret Lair has become a significant element for Magic: The Gathering enthusiasts, offering unique reprints that enhance game accessibility and providing avenues for players to express their fandom on the tabletop with characters not typically found within the game's lore.

Wizards of the Coast has announced that Hatsune Miku, the digital singing sensation, will headline her own Commander deck through Secret Lair. In a move designed to circumvent the issues of scarcity and scalping that plagued previous releases like the "Wizard of Barge," this Miku-themed deck will be available for pre-order for a full 24 hours. This means any fan who places an order between August 10th and August 11th, 2026, is guaranteed a copy, eliminating concerns about stock running out during the ordering process.

Crafted by Magic: The Gathering's Carmen Klomparens, this deck marks the first Universes Beyond Secret Lair Commander Deck. It masterfully blends the creative essence of Secret Lair with the global appeal of one of the world's most recognizable virtual performers. The deck is led by "Miku, Song of the People," a thematic re-imagining of Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, designed to empower players to fill the battlefield with creatures and build towards a triumphant performance.

The collection boasts 13 cards with entirely new artwork by esteemed Japanese artists, including a special piece by KEI, the original illustrator for Hatsune Miku's software packaging. KEI provides the artwork for the deck's face commander, "Miku, Song of the People."

The "Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku" will include:
