Elgato & Voicemod Partner for Native Voice Changer & Soundboard Integration
Elgato, a brand under CORSAIR, has announced a significant enhancement to its collaboration with Voicemod, integrating Voicemod's suite of tools directly into Elgato's ecosystem.
This integration allows users to directly apply voice filters to their microphones via Wave Link as VST effects, eliminating the need for Voicemod to run constantly in the background. Previously, both Voicemod and Wave Link had to be active simultaneously. Now, a native integration within Wave Link simplifies the process. Additionally, soundboards are now readily accessible for Stream Decks, offering flexible routing to any audio mix within Wave Link, compatible with any audio interface or microphone. These new functionalities are accessible through the Elgato Marketplace.
Jaime Bosch, Co-Founder and CEO of Voicemod, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating, "Voicemod's voice technology is now natively embedded within the core tools creators depend on." He emphasized that "Elgato provides the control framework for audio configurations, while Voicemod contributes the creative dimension, enabling users to shape their online identity through voice. We've always championed self-expression through sound, and this partnership streamlines that process immensely."
Elgato proudly announced the availability of both free and premium voice changer options on its Marketplace. The selection includes diverse effects such as military communications, anime character voices, an evil AI, a movie trailer announcer, with more options planned for future release. Integrating any purchased voice changer into Wave Link is a straightforward process, requiring just a few clicks. Furthermore, the interfaces adapt with themes corresponding to the selected character.
This update specifically targets and resolves previous audio routing complexities involving multiple applications. Previously, the typical audio path involved Voicemod, then Wave Link, before finally reaching target applications like Discord or OBS Studio. Now, voice changers function directly within Wave Link as VST effects, offering a significantly faster and more stable solution. The versatility extends to applying these voice changers to other audio channels, allowing for immersive effects, such as transforming any incoming audio into a "trailer guy" voice.
For Stream Deck users, comprehensive soundboards are available for direct purchase and installation from the Elgato Marketplace, simplifying the setup process. While current soundboards are designed for 15-key Stream Decks, future updates will introduce support for additional themes and models. A notable new feature allows users to route soundboards to specific outputs, such as streams, voice chats, or headphones, providing precise control over who hears the effects.
Both voice changers and soundboards are now compatible with Windows and macOS operating systems. Interested users are encouraged to act quickly, as Voicemod is offering a limited-time 30% discount on voice changers.
