A LEGO PlayStation is Allegedly In The Works For 2026
LEGO is reportedly planning to release a brick-built version of the original Sony PlayStation console in 2026. This news comes from a well-known LEGO set leaker on Instagram, lego_minecraft_goat, who has a track record of revealing upcoming LEGO products ahead of official announcements.
This potential release follows LEGO's history of transforming iconic gaming consoles into intricate sets, including the Atari 2600, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and a brick-shaped Game Boy. LEGO has also deepened its ties with the video game industry through sets based on popular franchises like Super Mario, Donkey Kong, and PlayStation's own Horizon series, even launching the game LEGO Horizon Adventures.
According to the leak, the LEGO PlayStation set is expected to launch in December 2026. It is rumored to retail for $159.99 and will comprise 1,911 pieces. This piece count reportedly includes the console and at least one controller. Compared to other LEGO console recreations, such as the LEGO NES, this PlayStation set is anticipated to be more affordable, though it contains fewer pieces.
While LEGO continues to expand its presence in the gaming world, as evidenced by recent announcements like the LEGO Mario Kart – Luigi & Mach 8 set, fans should approach this PlayStation leak with caution. Neither Sony, PlayStation, nor LEGO have officially confirmed the existence or release of a LEGO PlayStation set.
