Wargaming recently launched the much-anticipated World of Tanks 2.0, an overhaul described as the most significant update in the 15-year history of the game. This major release introduces a new narrative-focused PvE mode and offers players the chance to experience 16 new Tier XI tanks in battle.
Further enhancements include a revamped garage and user interface, an improved matchmaking system, and an extensive rebalancing of hundreds of vehicles. A new Scandinavian-themed map named Nordskar will host the “Operation Boiling Point” PvE event, where players can test three distinct Tier XI tanks.
Wargaming has also highlighted significant audio improvements, promising “heavier, more authentic tank sounds recorded from real vehicles.” To acknowledge loyal players who were active before the 2.0 update, the developers are providing substantial rewards: one complete tech-tree branch (Tiers VI–X), 2,500 Gold, 15,000 Bonds, 10 million Credits, and 60 days of premium account access.
New players joining after this update will also receive generous starting bonuses, including two full tech-tree branches (Tiers VI–X), three premium tanks, 60 days of premium time, 6 million credits, among other benefits. Additionally, players who already possess all Tier VI–X vehicles will find exclusive awards awaiting them. Wargaming has announced that all players logging in between now and mid-October will be granted “epic gifts.”
