Unlock a Second HP Tank in Shadow Labyrinth

In the challenging world of Shadow Labyrinth, your HP Tank is a crucial survival tool, capable of fully restoring your health. Initially, players only have access to one HP Tank, making additional healing incredibly vital as you progress.

As you venture through the game`s second main area, which requires you to ascend the Sky-high Tree, you have the opportunity to acquire an additional HP Tank. This valuable item, however, can be easily overlooked if you`re rushing through the environment. This guide will help you locate it efficiently, preventing the need for tedious backtracking later on.

How to Obtain a Second HP Tank in Shadow Labyrinth

The second HP Tank in Shadow Labyrinth is located within the forest section of the Great Tree (also known as the Sky-High Tree). Your primary point of reference is the Sky-high Tree Front area. As you advance through this level, you`ll eventually discover a long path situated in the western corner. This path leads to a higher region, culminating in a significant boss encounter. However, before reaching that ultimate confrontation, there`s another boss you must defeat: Duke Sirius. You can claim the second HP Tank after defeating Duke Sirius.

From the checkpoint located at the center of the area, simply continue following the path to the right. As mentioned, a boss fight awaits at the end. If your GAIA form gauge is not full, it`s advisable to take a moment to defeat intervening enemies and consume their energy before engaging the boss.

Duke Sirius: Attack Patterns and Strategy

Duke Sirius, a formidable bird-like opponent, utilizes three main attack types: First, they perform a leap followed by a ground slam, often attempting to close the distance quickly. Second, Duke Sirius will flap its wings to generate small whirlwinds, which can appear individually or in pairs. Lastly, the Duke can also spit fire, an attack that typically covers the ground on both sides around them.

Here’s an effective strategy for defeating Duke Sirius: As Duke Sirius descends into the arena, immediately begin your assault. They typically have an introductory animation during which you can land several hits. Make sure to use your powerful attack combo (basic attack, basic attack, strong attack) to maximize your initial damage. Be prepared to dodge frequently as Duke retaliates.

When the whirlwinds appear, utilize the walls on either side of the arena to gain height, as you can attach to them. If Duke continuously spawns whirlwinds, simply wait for an opening to safely maneuver. Once you`ve inflicted sufficient damage, roughly halving Duke`s health bar, transform into your GAIA form and unleash a barrage of attacks. Your GAIA form should be powerful enough to finish off the remaining health without much difficulty.

Claim Your Second HP Tank

Upon defeating Duke Sirius, a long vine will become accessible to the right of the arena. You can use this vine to ascend to the top of the structure and then proceed left to reach the next area. However, before ascending, make sure to jump down below the arena to retrieve your second HP Tank. For visual assistance, this item is marked as a red question mark on your map.

It`s easy to miss this HP Tank because its map marker and item icon are similar to other less essential collectibles. If you`ve been overlooking such markers, ensure you make a quick stop for this one. Alternatively, if you`ve already moved past this point, you can teleport or backtrack to the area where you fought Duke Sirius to collect it. Acquiring this second HP Tank will also automatically replenish your existing HP Tank, allowing you to continue your journey even if you barely survived the boss fight.
