The House Of The Dead 2 Remake Getting A Switch-Exclusive Limited Edition

While `The House of the Dead 2: Remake` has been available digitally on Switch and PC for some time, a physical Limited Edition is now set to launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch on October 31st. This special edition, priced at $40, includes unique physical bonuses not present in the digital version.

Priced at $40, the Limited Edition offers the base game for Switch along with exclusive physical collectibles: a slipcase sleeve and three holographic cards. It`s important to note that while these extras are unique to this physical release, the game content itself mirrors the previously launched digital version.

The remake retains the classic arcade rail-shooter gameplay from the 1998 original, supporting both solo and co-op play. As a modern reimagining, it boasts updated graphics, various gameplay enhancements, and the option to switch between the classic soundtrack and a remastered version.

This release follows the pattern of the `The House of the Dead` remake, which launched in 2022. That title also debuted digitally across multiple platforms before receiving a Switch-exclusive physical `Limidead Edition.` For newcomers, playing the first game`s remake is recommended as `The House of the Dead 2` directly continues its story.

To enhance the arcade feel, players might consider using Joy-Con gun grips. Options like the GamSurfing Gun Grip (2-Pack) for $17 or the higher-rated FastSnail Gun Grip (2-Pack) for $23.74 are available and compatible with both `House of the Dead` remake titles, offering a more immersive experience for extended play.
