The Fisherman from ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Joins Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

The upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to introduce a menacing new Operator: The Fisherman, directly from the `I Know What You Did Last Summer` horror film series. This integration serves as a thrilling promotional tie-in for the latest installment of the horror franchise. A recent teaser trailer chillingly warned, “Last summer, they know what you did. This summer, the Fisherman`s in your lobby.”

While unnumbered, the new `I Know What You Did Last Summer` film marks the fourth entry in the slasher saga and acts as a direct continuation of 1998`s `I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.` The narrative unfolds 27 years after the infamous Tower Bay murders, featuring a new hook-wielding killer. This assailant targets a group of friends, one year after they attempted to conceal a car crash that may have resulted in a fatality. The movie premiered on July 18, receiving mixed reviews, and has since accumulated a worldwide box office gross of $24.6 million.

An official release date for the Fisherman Operator, who bears a striking resemblance to the Hash-Slinging Slasher from SpongeBob SquarePants, has not yet been announced. However, expectations are for the character to debut in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6`s Season Five. This reveal follows a series of unexpected in-game crossovers that have recently diversified the game`s roster, including characters from `American Dad,` `Beavis & Butt-Head,` and Eve Macarro from the `John Wick` spin-off, `Ballerina.`

In related Call of Duty news, the franchise is implementing new age-verification measures. Furthermore, Treyarch recently showcased `Call of Duty: Black Ops 7` with an impressive new trailer.
