The eagerly awaited sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been officially announced, titled The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Fans can mark their calendars for its theatrical release on April 3, 2026. Producer Chris Meledandri stated that while carrying the Super Mario Galaxy name, the film is designed to resonate with enthusiasts of all Mario games, ensuring broad appeal.
The original cast from the hugely successful 2023 animated feature will reprise their iconic roles:

The acclaimed directors of the 2023 hit, Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, are returning to helm the project. Matthew Fogel is also back as screenwriter, joined by Brian Tyler who will once again compose the musical score, promising a familiar yet fresh cinematic experience.
