Samsung has officially announced a significant enhancement to its file-sharing capabilities: the Quick Share feature will now be fully compatible with Apple’s AirDrop. This much-anticipated interoperability is set to debut with the upcoming Galaxy S26 smartphones.
This move follows Google’s integration of similar cross-platform sharing on its Pixel 10 devices. The compatibility between Quick Share and AirDrop is expected to streamline file transfers between Android and iOS users, eliminating previous friction points. Furthermore, Samsung indicates that this functionality, starting with the Galaxy S26, could soon extend to a wider range of other Galaxy models, promising a more seamless sharing experience across the ecosystem.
