Resident Evil’s Jill Valentine Is Back For Crossover With Stellar Blade Dev’s Goddess Of Victory

The mobile and PC sci-fi RPG shooter, Goddess of Victory: Nikke, developed by the creators of Stellar Blade, is set to introduce a legendary figure from video game lore. Revealed at Gamescom, the upcoming crossover event between Goddess of Victory: Nikke and Resident Evil will feature Jill Valentine, a prominent character from the very first Resident Evil title.

The initial promotional video depicted a cult preparing for a disturbing ritual. Poli, a character from Goddess of Victory, makes a brief appearance, being seized by a hand stained with blood. While the first trailer subtly hinted at Jill`s arrival, Shift Up, the developer, later officially confirmed her inclusion.

Shift Up additionally suggested that Jill might not be the sole Resident Evil character making an appearance in this collaborative event. Specifics regarding the crossover`s narrative and release date are currently being kept under wraps. This is not Goddess of Victory`s inaugural high-profile crossover; past events have brought in characters from franchises like Evangelion and Nier: Automata. Notably, a collaboration between Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory also occurred earlier this summer.

Meanwhile, Capcom is preparing for the 30th anniversary of the original Resident Evil game, set for next year. Although Jill does not seem to be part of the upcoming title, Resident Evil: Requiem, Capcom`s recent trailer for the sequel provides a more detailed look at its new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft. Resident Evil: Requiem is slated for release on February 27, 2026. Furthermore, a new Resident Evil film, directed by Zach Cregger (known for Weapons), is scheduled to premiere in theaters on September 18, 2026.
