True to its previous iteration, the Rengoku event focuses on tactical area control. Participants are equipped with shotguns and powerful kunai, special throwable items capable of various effects such as poisoning enemies, creating defensive barriers, or igniting fires. This iteration also introduces new kunai variants, like the freeze kunai. While strategic planning is key, the inherent chaos of the matches often provides a significant part of the fun.
As with many Rainbow Six Siege events, Rengoku offers various ways to acquire items. Players can earn free cosmetics simply by logging in during the event or through Twitch Drops.
