PS Plus Members Can Claim A New Fortnite Skin Right Now

Fortnite’s latest update, the first in over a month, introduces a significant bonus for many PlayStation players: an exclusive new skin pack available only to PlayStation Plus subscribers. This new cosmetic set, named the “Emerald Gamer” pack, is offered at no extra cost to all PS Plus members, regardless of their subscription tier. Players can easily claim it through the PlayStation Store on either PS4 or PS5 consoles, via the PS App, or directly on the PlayStation website. To ensure the skin becomes available for use within the game, players must launch Fortnite on a PlayStation device at least once after redemption. Once activated this way, the skin will then be accessible across all platforms linked to their Epic Games account.

The “Emerald Gamer” pack includes the brand-new Sage skin, along with a perfectly matching back bling and pickaxe. What makes Sage unique is that it’s an original character design. This is a notable departure from previous PS Plus skin offerings, which often reimagined existing characters—for instance, the Shinji skin from an earlier pack was a new rendition of Master Key from Chapter 1 Season 8. This exclusive “Emerald Gamer” pack will remain obtainable in the PlayStation Store until September 23.

This “Emerald Gamer” offering marks the 30th PlayStation Plus pack released for Fortnite. Historically, none of the items featured in any of these previous packs have ever been sold separately in the in-game item shop, effectively making these items exclusive despite not always being explicitly labeled as such.

Beyond this PS Plus exclusive, there are other “free” skins currently available within Fortnite. Players who link their Lego account to their Epic Games account before August 31 will receive a free First Order Stormtrooper skin from the Star Wars universe. Additionally, anyone who redeems a Fortnite or Epic Games Store gift card before the end of 2026 (yes, 2026!) will be rewarded with the Ghost Monks skin as an extra bonus.
