Pokémon Pokopia: Second Event Reveals Sableye, Playable Early with Time Trick

Pokémon Pokopia is set to host its second limited-time event, and players have already uncovered its featured Pokémon: Sableye. This discovery was made in an unconventional manner, allowing some to obtain the Pokémon even before its official launch.

For those who wish to avoid spoilers, it’s advised to stop reading now, though this information is rapidly becoming public knowledge. The new creature arriving in Pokémon Pokopia for this second event is Sableye. Interestingly, there’s a simple, albeit irregular, method to unlock this Pokémon early: by modifying the game’s internal clock. By doing so, players can trick the game into believing it’s already within the event’s designated timeframe.

This method opens the door to numerous other early discoveries, as it suggests many future content updates are already present within Pokémon Pokopia, merely waiting for specific timed events to be activated.

Time Manipulation and Early Access

The second limited-time event in Pokémon Pokopia is expected to begin around April 29th. However, official communications regarding this are still pending because the information was unearthed purely through manipulating the game’s internal clock.

A similar technique previously allowed players to unlock content from the first timed event, which featured Hoppip. It appears this trick might work for subsequent events as well, with the second event reportedly running from late April to roughly May 13th.

For now, Sableye is confirmed as the main highlight of this new event, obtainable either during its official run or by adjusting the game’s clock. While this manipulation doesn’t currently seem to trigger any in-game penalties—unlike Animal Crossing’s Mr. Resetti—it’s not impossible that Nintendo might implement such measures if the practice becomes too widespread.

If you’re interested in trying this, simply deactivate the ‘synchronize clock’ option on your device. The game will then allow you to set the date and time manually according to your preferences.

Awaiting further official details from Nintendo, it appears the second Pokémon Pokopia event will primarily introduce Sableye, a peculiar dual Dark/Ghost-type Pokémon first seen in the third generation.
