To commemorate the imminent release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A on Nintendo Switch consoles, The Pokémon Company has revealed plans for a distinctive live lucha libre wrestling event. This exciting spectacle is scheduled to take place on September 25 at Arena México in Mexico City.
This special showcase will include four exhibition matches. Among the confirmed participants is Mistico, a renowned wrestler who also competed in WWE in the early 2010s as Sin Cara. While tickets will soon be available for purchase, those unable to attend in person can watch the matches streamed live on the official Pokémon and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre YouTube channels.
This announcement closely followed the unveiling of a new Mega Evolution for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Appropriately, Hawlucha, a Pokémon inspired by luchadores and known for its acrobatic moves, will receive this powerful transformation. Hawlucha`s Mega Evolution enhances its wrestling aesthetic with elaborate plumage, making it appear ready for a major championship bout.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is set to launch on October 16 for both Switch and Switch 2 consoles. The game is poised to revolutionize the traditional turn-based combat system by incorporating real-time battles and free-for-all encounters, supporting up to four players.
