The new “Tales of Transformation” season in Pokemon Go is now live, bringing a wealth of new content and exciting events throughout September. This month`s theme emphasizes Mega Evolutions, featuring several Mega Pokemon in Mega Raids, including the highly anticipated debut of Mega Sharpedo.

Beyond Mega Evolutions, trainers can look forward to other new Pokemon appearing in the game. The psychic-type Indeedee will make its debut, alongside a special Psyduck adorned with a swim ring, celebrating the latest season of the Netflix series, Pokemon Concierge. Additionally, September`s Community Day will offer enhanced opportunities to catch the elusive fairy-type Pokemon, Flabebe.

September Raid Schedule

Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Go

A new month signals the arrival of new raid bosses, presenting numerous challenges for trainers throughout September.

Legendary Pokemon Palkia and Dialga will return to five-star raids at different intervals this month. A rotation of Mega-Evolved Pokemon will also be featured in Mega Raids over the coming weeks. Furthermore, new and returning Dynamax Pokemon are slated to appear in Max Battles.

Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour

Pokemon Go will host weekly Spotlight Hour events throughout September.

Every Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM local time, a specific Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild, providing an excellent chance to gather that species` candy. Additionally, participating in the event will grant an extra bonus, such as double Stardust or XP from catching Pokemon.

Kanto Celebration

Pokemon Go kicks off its latest season with a Kanto Celebration running from September 2-7.

During this event, Pokemon from the original Red and Blue versions, such as Chansey, Snorlax, and Abra, will appear more frequently in the wild. Additionally, various event-themed Field and Timed Research tasks will be available, offering Mega Energy, Pokemon encounters, Stardust, and other rewards.

Several bonuses will also be active throughout the event: trainers will earn double XP for spinning Photo Discs at PokeStops, and Mega Evolution durations will be tripled. Furthermore, evolving Ivysaur, Charmeleon, or Wartortle during the event will grant them their respective Community Day-exclusive attacks: Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Hydro Cannon.

Mega Sharpedo will make its Pokemon Go debut during a special Mega Raid Day event on September 7.

From 2-5 PM local time, trainers can challenge Mega Sharpedo in raids. Successful defeats will yield Mega Energy and other rewards, along with an increased chance of encountering a shiny Sharpedo.

Additional bonuses will be active during this event: the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20, and trainers can earn up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at gyms.

Pokemon Concierge Celebration Event

Pokemon Go will commemorate the new season of Pokemon Concierge with a special crossover event from September 9-14.

During this event, a unique Psyduck wearing a swim ring will be available for capture. Other Pokemon featured in the Netflix series will also appear in one-star and three-star raids.

Trainers can complete free Field and Timed Research tasks, and enjoy several bonuses: double candy for catching Pokemon, and an increased frequency of buddy Pokemon bringing items.

September Community Day

Flabebe Community Day

This month`s Community Day, featuring the fairy-type Pokemon Flabebe, is scheduled for September 14.

From 2-5 PM local time, Flabebe will appear more frequently in the wild, providing an excellent chance to catch this rare fairy type. The color of Flabebe`s flower will vary based on your geographical region:

  • Red Flower Flabebe: Europe, the Middle East, Africa
  • Blue Flower Flabebe: Asia-Pacific
  • Yellow Flower Flabebe: The Americas
  • Orange Flower Flabebe: All regions
  • White Flower Flabebe: All regions

For a limited time, obtaining a Florges will become easier. You can now evolve Floette after earning seven hearts with it set as your buddy. If you evolve Floette before the end of September 21, the resulting Florges will also learn the special water-type Charged Attack, Chilling Water.

Several bonuses will be active during the event: eggs placed in Incubators will hatch at a quarter of their usual distance, you`ll earn double candy for catching Pokemon, and any Lure Modules or Incense used will last for three hours.

Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over

Team Go Rocket disrupts this year`s Psychic Spectacular, running from September 16-21.

Throughout the event, psychic-type Pokemon such as Abra, Beldum, and Ralts will appear more frequently in the wild. Additionally, Lunatone and Solrock, typically region-locked, will be available worldwide. Team Go Rocket`s presence will also increase, with grunts appearing more often at PokeStops and in hot-air balloons.

Certain psychic Pokemon, including Smoochum, Espurr, and the newly debuting Indeedee, may hatch from 5 km eggs during the event. A new Special Research story will also become available, leading trainers to a confrontation with Team Go Rocket boss Giovanni, who will wield a Shadow Tornadus.

The Psychic Spectacular concludes with a Shadow Raid Weekend on September 20-21.

During this weekend, the legendary Pokemon Groudon will appear as a Shadow raid boss at gyms. Trainers will also have their first opportunity to encounter a shiny Shadow Groudon. Additionally, an extra free Raid Pass can be earned daily by spinning Photo Discs at gyms.


Completely Normal Event

Normal-type Pokemon event

Normal-type Pokemon will take center stage in the “Completely Normal” event, scheduled from September 23-27.

Throughout the event, normal Pokemon like Sentret, Buneary, Dunsparce, and Audino will spawn more frequently in the wild. Ditto will also appear more often, disguising itself as various Pokemon.

A new Pokemon debut is also planned: trainers will have their first chance to obtain Dunsparce`s evolved form, Dundunsparce. Event-themed Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges will be available, along with various bonuses, including double candy for catching Pokemon.

Mega Camerupt Raid Day

Pokemon Go will host another Mega Raid Day on September 28.

From 2-5 PM local time, Mega Camerupt will be available in Mega Raids, marking its first appearance in Pokemon Go. Successfully completing the raid will also grant increased odds of encountering a shiny Camerupt.

Event bonuses include a temporary increase in the Remote Raid Pass limit to 20, and the ability to obtain up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at gyms.

Steel Skyline Event

Pokemon Go will conclude the month with a “Steel Skyline” event, running from September 30-October 7.

As implied by the name, steel-type and other city-dwelling Pokemon like Alolan Diglett, Galarian Meowth, Skarmory, Trubbish, and Klink will appear more frequently in the wild. This event also introduces Dynamax Duraludon, a steel/dragon Pokemon, which will appear in four-star Max Battles.

Beyond featured Pokemon, Global Challenges will be active, unlocking various rewards as players collectively complete missions. Free event-themed Field and Timed Research tasks will be available, along with an optional paid Timed Research ticket offering extra challenges and rewards.
