As we await the official announcement of the new PlayStation Plus Essential games for next month, it has been confirmed that PlayStation Plus will be losing additional titles in April. The list of departing games has quietly expanded in recent hours, affecting Extra and Premium subscribers.
Previously, reports indicated that only two games were slated to exit the catalog. However, the “last chance to play” section within the service has since revealed a significant increase in the titles set to be removed. Here is the updated list of games departing from PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium:
- Dave the Diver
- Splitings
- Towerfall Ascension
- Disaster Report 4
- EA Sports PGA Tour
- Lost Records Bloom & Rage (full game)
More Departures Anticipating New Arrivals
In addition to the two titles initially mentioned, EA Sports PGA Tour and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (full game), four more games are now confirmed to be leaving the service. It’s important to note that this list might not be exhaustive, and further removals could potentially be announced throughout the month of April.
The removal of these titles from the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs is tentatively scheduled for around April 21st. This date typically coincides with the arrival of new games for these subscription tiers, the announcement of which is generally expected in mid-April.
Meanwhile, the official announcement of the “free” PlayStation Plus Essential games for April is imminent. According to a reliable leaker, one of the titles expected to be included is Lords of the Fallen, an acclaimed souls-like action RPG developed by Deck13 Interactive and CI Games.
