After nearly five years of intense ghost hunting, players of the popular horror game Phasmophobia are gearing up for fresh scares. Developer Kinetic Games is set to introduce a brand-new location called Nell`s Diner, expanding the spectral landscape for enthusiasts.
Nell`s Diner is depicted as a retro-styled restaurant that has clearly seen better days. While it offers booths and counter seating for the living, the supernatural residents likely have plans for the kitchen that would, charitably, not pass a health inspection. The size of this new map is expected to be comparable to the existing residential properties within the game.

Although Nell`s Diner is slated for release later in the year, Kinetic Games has confirmed an earlier arrival for another highly anticipated update: the revamped Grafton Farmhouse map. This redesigned location will be available in Phasmophobia on August 12.

The updated Grafton Farmhouse has undergone a complete overhaul, now featuring “newly themed rooms,” including an attic and a seamstress room. Early glimpses suggest it`s even more disquieting than Nell`s Diner, with accompanying screenshots certainly adding to its eerie atmosphere.
“Nell`s Diner, alongside the Farmhouse reworks, are all so central to our efforts in amplifying the horror in Phasmophobia, and I can`t wait for our community to experience it for themselves,” stated Daniel Knight, Phasmophobia`s lead director. “Our incredible art team have worked tirelessly on the upcoming content, and the Diner map in particular is one of the most unique maps we`ve added yet. We don`t want to spoil anything, but just know there are plenty of surprises to look forward to.”
Knight has also previously teased that Phasmophobia is set to reach version 1.0 next year. While he has remained intentionally vague about the specifics, he hinted at a significant change, noting, “We`re basically going to be reworking the entire horror in the game. So everything is going to be changing.” Beyond these map updates and the forthcoming version 1.0, the game`s recent Chronicle update introduced enhancements to how players document hauntings. Furthermore, a Phasmophobia movie adaptation is currently in development by Blumhouse.
