Patrick Gibson Cast as James Bond in ‘007 First Light’

During a recent PlayStation State of Play presentation, IO Interactive unveiled extensive footage for their highly anticipated James Bond video game, `007 First Light.` The event officially confirmed that actor Patrick Gibson will embody the iconic role of the legendary British super-spy.

For several months, fans had speculated about Gibson`s involvement, noting the striking resemblance between the character model and the actor. This official announcement now validates those theories, bringing excitement to the Bond gaming community.

Gibson expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It`s thrilling to be bringing this character to life in the gaming world.” The game features a distinguished cast, including Lenny James as Bond`s mentor, Greenway; Priyanga Burford as M; Alastair Mackenzie as Q; Kiera Lester as Moneypenny; and Noemie Nakai as Ms. Roth.

The developers also showcased an extended gameplay sequence from `007 First Light,` which captivated audiences with its cinematic quality and action, drawing comparisons to a blockbuster movie. The complete gameplay segment is available for viewing below.

Set for release on May 27, 2026, `007 First Light` will be available across multiple platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. A special $300 collector`s edition, which includes a mini Golden Gun replica, will be offered to dedicated fans. Furthermore, all preorders for the game will automatically receive an upgrade to the deluxe edition.
