Overwatch Welcomes New Damage Hero, Sierra, in Season 2

Blizzard Entertainment has officially unveiled Sierra as the newest hero joining the roster of Overwatch. This damage-role character is set to make her debut with the launch of Season Two of ‘Reign of Talon’ on April 14th.

The announcement was accompanied by a new animated trailer that delves into Sierra’s backstory and showcases some of her abilities, following a teaser artwork released last week. While the trailer highlights her combat prowess, specific details about her full ability kit remain unrevealed by Blizzard, adding an element of mystery to her upcoming arrival.

Overwatch‘s significant relaunch in 2026 introduced five new heroes in ‘Reign of Talon’ Season One—Domina, Emre, Mizuki, Anran, and Jetpack Cat (with Emre notably featured in Sierra’s trailer). Blizzard had pledged to release a new playable character in every subsequent season, a promise upheld with Sierra’s impending release. She marks the first new hero in the projected five-season run of ‘Reign of Talon’.

Season One, launched in February, also refined hero categories, emphasizing character roles and kits. Damage roles were subdivided into Sharpshooter, Recon, Flanker, and Specialist. However, beyond her appearance wielding a plasma rifle and utilizing a drone for battlefield movement, Blizzard has not yet disclosed which of these sub-categories Sierra will belong to, nor has her ultimate ability been revealed.

Fans of Overwatch can look forward to discovering Sierra’s complete kit when Season Two of ‘Reign of Talon’ goes live on April 14th.
