New Pokemon TCG Expansion ‘Phantasmal Flames’ Announced

A significant announcement was made at this year`s Pokemon World Championships: the upcoming “Mega Evolution — Phantasmal Flames” expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG). This follows earlier teasers that showcased powerful cards like Mega Charizard X EX and unique Mega Attack rare cards.

Launch Details and Card Highlights

Scheduled for release on November 14, the “Mega Evolution — Phantasmal Flames” expansion will introduce an array of new Mega Evolution Pokemon, with a particular focus on Fire-type and Darkness-type cards. Key highlights of the expansion include:

  • 6 distinct Mega Evolution Pokemon ex cards
  • 4 additional Pokemon ex cards
  • 13 beautifully illustrated rare Pokemon cards
  • 17 ultra-rare cards, encompassing Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, Trainer cards, and Energy cards
  • 5 Mega Evolution Pokemon ex and Supporter cards

Early Access and Digital Availability

While pre-orders for “Phantasmal Flames” are not yet available, eager players can get an early taste of the new expansion at pre-release tournaments beginning November 1. Furthermore, the “Mega Evolution — Phantasmal Flames” expansion will be accessible through the Pokemon TCG app starting November 13, compatible with iOS, Android, macOS, and PC. App users will be able to collect and engage in battles with the new Mega Evolution Pokemon ex cards and will also receive special in-game bonuses for logging in.
