Netflix`s animated series `The Legend of Lara Croft,` based on the iconic Tomb Raider franchise, is reportedly concluding. Its forthcoming second season will be its final one, according to a report from Variety.
Having premiered in October 2024, the series quickly secured a renewal for a second season, which is set to debut on December 11.
The show features Hayley Atwell (known for Mission: Impossible and Agent Carter) as the voice of Lara Croft, alongside Karen Fukuhara (from The Boys) who voices Lara`s friend, Sam. True to the game series, `The Legend of Lara Croft` depicts the renowned adventurer on her global quests, uncovering ancient mysteries and powerful relics.

`The Legend of Lara Croft` is a production of Legendary TV, with Story Kitchen`s Dmitri M. Johnson and Mike Goldberg, also known for their work on the Sonic the Hedgehog films, serving as producers. Noah Hughes of Crystal Dynamics holds an executive producer role.
This announcement follows closely on the heels of Amazon MGM Studios` reveal that Sophie Turner will lead a new Tomb Raider live-action TV series, developed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, creator of `Fleabag`.
Meanwhile, the game franchise continues to evolve, with Crystal Dynamics actively developing the next installment. Despite recent layoffs at the studio following the cancellation of `Perfect Dark,` Crystal Dynamics affirmed that the Tomb Raider project remained unaffected.
