Monster Hunter Wilds continues the series` cherished tradition of seasonal updates with the highly anticipated “Flamefete” summer festival. This vibrant event is scheduled to run from July 23 to August 6, promising players a wealth of unique entertainment and exclusive items perfectly curated for the season`s peak heat.
In line with previous festive celebrations, this two-week in-game event will commence with a fresh series of summer-themed quests. However, the main festivities are set to unfold within the Grand Hub. To gain entry to this newly expanded social area, which was introduced earlier this spring with Wilds` inaugural major update, hunters must have attained at least Hunter Rank 16.
The Grand Hub will undergo a complete summer transformation, featuring a special seasonal meal to savor and engaging new mini-games, such as casually tossing a beach ball around. A particularly exciting addition is a water gun emote, which momentarily transforms Monster Hunter Wilds into a delightful third-person water shooter, encouraging players to partake in friendly water battles. Capcom appears to be actively promoting players to unite and revel in the joyous atmosphere of the Grand Hub throughout the festival period.
Based on insights from the event trailer, the Grand Hub will also host dazzling fireworks displays and some form of special performance. Active participation in the Flamefete Festival and consistent daily login bonuses over the fortnight will generously reward hunters with a myriad of goodies. These include exclusive Seikret decorations and new fiery-aesthetic gear that can be crafted for both hunters and their loyal Palicos.
Beyond the lively festival grounds, players can look forward to two brand-new event quests. One quest will reward a sleek, form-fitting diving suit, ingeniously crafted from the hide of the venomous Rompopolo monster. The other quest offers a whimsical weapon known as the “Cornpopper,” which is essentially a powerful gunlance cleverly disguised as an enormous corncob. Furthermore, the festival will see the return of most previous event quests, offering another chance to tackle missed challenges.
To fully immerse players in the summer vibe, the update also introduces stunning new swimwear outfits for the hunter character, as well as for many beloved supporting NPCs, including Alma, Erik, and Gemma. From July 23, players will have the option to purchase a DLC pack to permanently unlock these stylish cosmetic items beyond the event`s duration. Additionally, Fabius, who serves as the esteemed leader of Wilds` core Hunting Guild members, will now be available to join the hunter in the field as a reliable ally.
The Flamefete Festival, along with the challenging arrival of the Arch-tempered Uth Duna, are both set to launch on July 23. These significant additions form an integral part of the RPG`s second free major title update, promising even more content for players to enjoy.
