Konami has released the initial update for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater across all platforms. The patch primarily resolves stability problems, including crashes in specific scenarios, and also fixes a humorous bug where Snake would sometimes appear to float in mid-air.
Previously, players might have noticed Snake floating after transitioning from a roll to a crawl. This update, officially version 1.1.2, was rolled out on August 28 for Steam users and became available today for players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Earlier this week, Lori Alan, the acclaimed voice actress for The Boss, celebrated the launch of Metal Gear Solid Delta by dressing up as the iconic character she first brought to life in the 2004 PS2 classic. The new game largely utilizes the original voice recordings, with only a few exceptions. David Hayter, the voice actor for Snake, had expressed a desire for more extensive re-recording. Meanwhile, the development team behind Metal Gear Solid Delta hopes that series creator Hideo Kojima will acknowledge and appreciate the respectful approach taken with this reimagining.
Looking ahead, the game is scheduled to receive a new hide-and-seek multiplayer mode, aptly named “Fox Hunt,” which is slated for release in the fall. The complete list of changes and fixes included in this patch is detailed below:
