The enchanting new world of Innisgreen, introduced with The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature, is brimming with secrets. One of the most effective ways to explore this new locale is by undertaking Fables—quests provided by various town residents designed to familiarize your Sims with the exciting activities available.
There are a total of ten Fable quests, originating from six distinct NPCs. Their identities can be discovered via the Fable Boards located in each Innisgreen neighborhood. To accept a Fable, simply click on a quest-giver, navigate to Friendly > Stories > Acquire Fable, and select an available quest. Remember, you can only have two Fables active at any given time. Below, we provide a step-by-step guide to help you complete all ten of these captivating quests.
Against All Odds

In Sprucederry Grove, you`ll often find Joe Trader near the Fable Board; he`s the source of this quest. It requires you to gather Lightning Root Leaves, sleep or meditate in a natural setting, and discuss a specific topic (which may vary contextually) with three other Sims.
Fortunately, Lightning Root Leaves are easily obtained. A Lightning Root plant from which you can collect leaves is consistently found in Everdew.

Sleeping or meditating in nature requires some proficiency in the Natural Living skill, but as the name suggests, it can be done virtually anywhere. Just click on a patch of ground and initiate the action. Engaging three Sims in conversation about a topic is equally straightforward: click on a Sim, then select Friendly > Small Talk > Talk about nature/trading/etc.
No need to report back for this one. Upon completing these tasks, your Sim will receive the Supernatural Shield, an item offering protection against occult powers, and will also experience the Emotional Void ailment.
Deliver the News
Joe Trader`s second Fable is remarkably simple. Joe, located in Sprucederry Grove, will entrust you with an Acorn. Your mission is to deliver it to the Mossveil Fairy Hub in Everdew. Travel to Everdew, click on the distinct building in the center, and choose `Deliver the tradesperson`s item.`

Once delivered, this Fable concludes. Your rewards include a Fairy Seedling, some Fairy Dust, and the Creation Impulse Ailment.
Stubborn Misfortune
This Fable is offered by Care Ren, a city official typically found near the Mossveil Fairy Hub.

Care`s task is direct: request an Emotion Potion from a fairy. Simply click on any Sim, and select Friendly > Stories > Ask for an Emotion Potion. The fairy will then charge you 50 simoleons for it. Bring the potion to Care Ren to complete the Fable. Your reward is access to the Starseed Teleporter in Everdew, some seeds, and the Emotion Potion you purchased.
The Ground`s Jewel
Also provided by Care Ren, this Fable can only be initiated after completing “Stubborn Misfortune.” The objective is to use the Starseed Teleporter to visit the secret Sylvan Glade lot and catch a Treefish from its pond.
Using the Starseed teleporter requires one stack of Fairy Dust. If your Sim lacks this, they can obtain it daily for free from the Mossveil Fairy Hub, conveniently located near Care Ren. The Starseed Teleporter itself is also nearby.

The Starseed Teleporter grants access to all secret lots in The Sims 4, including Sixam and other DLC locations. For this quest, head to Sylvan Glade. Once there, fish in the pond until you reel in a Treefish. The Fable will instantly complete, rewarding your Sim with a Houseplant and a Fruit of the PlantSim, which transforms any Sim into a green PlantSim for five days upon consumption.
My Sleeping Giant
Find Glen Nhoam in the Coast of Adhmor neighborhood of Innisgreen. During the day, he`s at his market stall next to the giant gnome in the area`s center; at night, he`s at his home in the northeast corner. This is one of two Fables Glen offers.

This Fable tasks your Sim with waking the giant gnome beside Glen`s stall, which requires one stack of Fairy Dust. Fairies can acquire Fairy Dust by dusting themselves off or by shaking their fairy home. Regular Sims can simply ask any fairy Sim for some.
Once your Sim possesses the Dust, return to the large gnome and awaken it. It will initially react with anger and groans, but your Sim can calm it by clicking again and selecting the soothing option. With that, the Fable is complete, and your Sim will gain a perk allowing them to request gifts from the giant gnome.
Rise and Shine
Glen Nhoam`s other Fable requires your Sim to inquire about fairy beliefs from eight other Sims. These Sims must reside in Innisgreen and not be fairies themselves. To do this, click on a Sim and select Friendly > Interests > What fairies do you believe in?.
After questioning eight different Sims, you`ll be prompted to visit the Fairy Ring, located in the Sprucederry Grove neighborhood. It appears as a distinct circle of mushrooms:

To finalize the Fable, click on the ring and select `I believe in…`, then choose your desired fairy patron. Upon selection, your Sim will receive a gift from that fairy.
Be Kind, Unwind

This is the first of two Fables from Apothecary Todd, who operates a market stall in the heart of Sprucederry Grove. This quest requires your Sim to forage while under the influence of the Enchanted Eyes Elixir. Fortunately, you don`t need to be an apothecary to acquire this Elixir, as Todd sells it affordably. Alternatively, a level 3 apothecary can craft it using basil, a lemon, and an acorn.
Once your Sim has the elixir, have them drink it from their inventory, then direct them to forage by clicking anywhere on the ground outdoors. After finding an item, bring it back to Todd to complete the Fable. The reward is a Lucky Liquid elixir from Todd.
Ly Waiting
Completing “Be Kind, Unwind” unlocks this additional Fable from Apothecary Todd in Sprucederry Grove, tasking your Sim with bottling three emotions. This isn`t a difficult task but may require some time. The simplest method is to visit Moondrop Spring in the Everdew neighborhood, where you can bottle one emotion every 12 in-game hours without any skill requirement. If patience isn`t an option, you can siphon emotions from a glowing Moody Shrub if found. Apothecaries of skill level 6 and higher can craft an Emotion Stone to bottle their own emotions, while fairies of Glowing rank or higher can unlock a magical skill for emotion bottling.
Regardless of your chosen method, return the three bottled emotions to Todd to complete the Fable. Your Sim`s reward includes Small Critter Bones and a Holistic Cure elixir.
Plants Lie Here

This Fable comes from Zhaleh Amani, an elderly woman often seen near the Fable Board in the Everdew neighborhood. This straightforward quest asks your Sim to harvest two Bluebells from a Bluebell plant and return them to Zhaleh. While Bluebells grow in the wild, there`s no guaranteed spawn location in Innisgreen. However, they are available in starter seed packets, which can be purchased by clicking on any planter, making it quite easy to grow your own. Patience will be key, unless your Sim is a fairy who can instantly grow and bloom plants.

Once you`ve harvested two Bluebells—which typically only requires one harvesting action—bring them to Zhaleh to complete the Fable. She will reward you with an Aura Blossom seed and various other seeds.
Not Mushroom For Error

In Sprucederry Grove, a peculiar Glaswood Tree stands in the neighborhood`s center. Clicking on it summons Spruce Almighty, a distinctive green character known as Mother Nature`s ex-husband. Spruce`s Fable requires your Sim to converse with four nearby mushrooms and solve their relatively simple riddles.

Blue Mushroom
“Enchanted not, a natural glow. In day I sleep, at night I show. An eerie hue of ghostly play, instead of fright, I light the way! What am I?”
Answer: Bioluminescent Mushroom (requires Lightning Root Leaves)
Red Mushroom
“I’m often red, with spots about. I’m seen in film to gain some clout! I’m a fungi, I swear it’s true, but if you touch, Grim collects you! What am I?”
Answer: Fly Agaric or Amanita Muscaria (both are correct as they refer to the same mushroom).
Green Mushroom
“A Laurent chef’s awarded dish. A forager’s ultimate wish. Rich but not rare, the Landgraab’s eat, but to the rags, a chocolate sweet. What am I?”
Answer: Truffle (only if your Sim has over 5,000 simoleons).
Yellow Mushroom
“Come dance about, it’s time to play. Good luck or bad, we’re here to stay. A portal to a fairy land? Or toadstool spores’ outward expand? What am I?”
Answer: A Fairy Ring.
After successfully answering all four riddles, the Fable concludes. You`ll be rewarded with your own Glaswood Tree and some Everdew Seeds.
