Bonus Features of the 30th Anniversary Steelbook Edition

The 30th-anniversary steelbook comes with a rich selection of bonus features. While these extras have been previously released on the existing “Casino” 4K Blu-ray, they still provide valuable insights into the film`s creation and behind-the-scenes stories. The bonus content includes:

  • Interviews with director Martin Scorsese and actors Sharon Stone, author Nicholas Pileggi, and others
  • The History Channel documentary History Alive: True Crime Authors – Casino, featuring Nicholas Pileggi
  • Vegas and the Mob featurette
  • A selection of deleted scenes

Directed by Martin Scorsese and based on Nicholas Pileggi`s book `Casino: Love and Honor in Las Vegas,` the film stars Robert De Niro as Sam `Ace` Rothstein. Rothstein, a gambling prodigy, is tasked with managing the Tangiers Casino in Las Vegas for a powerful crime syndicate, The Chicago Outfit. The narrative spans from 1973 to 1983, chronicling Sam`s deep involvement in organized crime, his encounters with con artists, and ongoing FBI investigations.

Initially receiving a more subdued reception compared to some of Scorsese`s other works, `Casino` has since been critically re-evaluated and is now celebrated as one of the director`s most compelling and powerful films.
