Magical Savings: Harry Potter Monopoly & More on Amazon’s Early Sale

Enthusiasts of the Harry Potter universe can now secure a significant discount on the inaugural official Monopoly edition inspired by the beloved book and film series. Launched last summer, the Harry Potter Monopoly board game is currently available on Amazon for a special price of $22, a remarkable drop from its original $40, as part of a limited-time promotion.

This exclusive offer is one of Amazon`s early Prime Big Deal Days specials, presented in limited quantities. Already, over a quarter of the available stock has been claimed. The early Prime Big Deal Days event also features other popular Monopoly variations, including the Super Mario Edition of Monopoly Jr., an Amazon exclusive, priced attractively at $17.84.

This reimagined version of the classic board game is enriched with characters, famous locations, and distinctive artwork drawn directly from the Harry Potter novels and movies. Designed for 2 to 6 players, it is recommended for ages 8 and above. Players can choose from six unique metal tokens, featuring iconic elements such as the Hogwarts Express, Hagrid`s Motorbike, The Knight Bus, a Hippogriff, a Thestral, and the legendary Firebolt broomstick.

While maintaining the fundamental mechanics and progression of the traditional Monopoly game, the Harry Potter edition introduces several captivating Wizarding World modifications. Notably, physical currency is replaced by House Points, which players strategically collect for their chosen Hogwarts House: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff.

As players navigate the game board, they utilize their accumulated House Points to acquire well-known locations from Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade Village, Diagon Alley, and other significant sites like Malfoy Manor and the Dursleys` residence on Privet Drive. Rent can be increased by adding House Crests to owned properties. The Hogwarts House Common Rooms ingeniously function as the game`s railroads, though curiously, the jail is not referred to as Azkaban.

The traditional Chance and Community Chest cards are brilliantly reimagined as Owl Post cards, each meticulously crafted to resemble a letter delivered by an owl from Hogwarts. These enchanting cards are presented on a unique custom stand, complete with a charming Hedwig figurine.

For those who wish to delve deeper into the magical world, the complete 8-film Harry Potter collection is also readily available on 4K Blu-ray for $86.

Additionally, two significant new editions of the Harry Potter book series are slated for release in the near future. The interactive illustrated edition of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” will be published on October 14, and is currently available for preorder on Amazon at $40 (originally $50).
