Magic: The Gathering Lord of the Rings Commander Decks Restocked At Amazon

Great news for fans of Magic: The Gathering and J.R.R. Tolkien`s epic world! Amazon has recently replenished its stock of the highly sought-after Tales of Middle-earth Commander Decks. These popular crossover sets are now available at substantial discounts, a pleasant surprise for collectors and players alike.

Launched in June 2023 with a price tag of $70 per deck, Amazon is currently offering them for approximately $50 each. Additionally, for those interested in other major crossovers, the Final Fantasy Commander Deck Bundle is also on Amazon at an unprecedented low price of $175, a significant drop from its original $280.

The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Commander Decks – Current Amazon Prices:

  • Commander Deck 1 – Riders of Rohan: $49.92
  • Commander Deck 2 – Food and Fellowship: $50.44
  • Commander Deck 3 – Elven Council: $47.72
  • Commander Deck 4 – The Hosts of Mordor: $88 (Currently sold by a third-party reseller; Amazon`s direct stock is limited)

It`s important to note that the first three Commander Decks listed above are sold and shipped directly by Amazon. While “The Hosts of Mordor” deck is presently unavailable from Amazon`s direct inventory, it has been known to briefly return to stock, so keeping an eye on its availability might be worthwhile. Interestingly, the “Riders of Rohan” deck is eligible for free returns, a rare offering for trading card products on the platform.

Each Commander Deck is a complete 100-card set, steeped in the lore of The Lord of the Rings. It includes 20 unique cards that cannot be found in any other Lord of the Rings MTG product. Beyond the main deck, players receive a foil-etched display card of the Commander, a Collector Booster Sample Pack (containing one rare or higher Traditional Foil or special treatment card and one Traditional Foil special treatment common or uncommon card). The decks also come with essential accessories: a deck box, 10 double-sided tokens, a Helper card, a Life Wheel, a strategy insert, and a reference card.

Given their popularity, Tales of Middle-earth cards and other Lord of the Rings MTG items are frequently traded by third-party resellers, leading to variable pricing. While Scene Boxes often maintain stable prices, finding Commander Decks at their original retail price can be more challenging.
