Lego One Piece Collection Officially Launched

Lego has officially released its inaugural collection of One Piece building sets, based on the Netflix live-action adaptation. Launched on August 1st, this highly anticipated collaboration features five playsets and display models, alongside two BrickHeadz figures. While pre-orders began in June with limited retailer availability, the full collection is now broadly accessible at Amazon, Best Buy, and the Lego Store. Stock at Walmart and Target may vary, and several items are already experiencing backorders at the Lego Store due to high demand.

Among the initial releases, two ship-themed sets particularly stand out. The 1,376-piece Going Merry Pirate Ship has quickly become the most sought-after item across major retailers. The second prominent set, the formidable 3,402-piece Baratie Floating Restaurant, which was initially exclusive to Lego Store pre-orders, is now also available on Amazon.

Despite being inspired by the Netflix live-action series, these meticulously designed building sets are likely to appeal strongly to dedicated fans of the One Piece manga and anime.

Given One Piece`s status as the best-selling manga of all time and one of the most beloved anime series – coupled with the Netflix adaptation introducing new audiences to Monkey D. Luffy`s pirating adventures – the high demand for these sets at the Lego Store and other major retailers is entirely expected.

Take a closer look at all seven One Piece Lego sets that launched August 1:

The Going Merry Pirate Ship (75639)

Price: $140 | Pieces: 1,376

The 1,376-piece Going Merry Pirate Ship has been the most popular set in the Lego One Piece launch lineup since pre-orders opened in June. This replica of the iconic ship used by the Straw Hat Pirates was designed as both a playset for younger fans and a display piece for adults. The Going Merry would make an excellent centerpiece for any One Piece display shelf.

When fully built, the Going Merry measures 15.5 inches from bow to stern and 13.5 inches from the crow`s nest to the floor. Accurate details make this Lego ship build immediately recognizable as the vessel captained by Monkey D. Luffy. The Jolly Roger sail insignia features Luffy`s signature straw hat on the main mast, and the triangular sail on the back deck has red and white stripes. The flags at the top of the crow`s nest and stern flagstaff also feature the modified version of the Jolly Roger. You`ll also build the sheep figurehead on the ship`s bow and a cannon below it.

Below deck, the Going Merry has multiple decorated rooms, including the main crew`s cabin, the kitchen, an accessory workshop, and a storage room where you can keep the four included `Wanted` posters featuring members of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Five One Piece minifigures are included with the build:

  • Luffy
  • Zoro
  • Nami
  • Sanji
  • Usopp

The Going Merry Pirate Ship includes a physical instruction booklet, with an interactive guide also available on the Lego Builder app. Lego`s 3D walkthroughs are highly recommended, as each step is animated on a 3D diagram that can be manipulated and zoomed from any angle for clarity.

The Baratie Floating Restaurant (75640)

Price: $330 | Pieces: 3,402

The Baratie Floating Restaurant is currently the only build in the Lego One Piece lineup packaged in a black box, indicating it`s recommended for adults. However, younger fans with experience building large Lego models could likely manage this build, especially with the 3D instructions available on the Lego Builder app.

This 3,402-piece model measures 21.5 inches wide, 10.5 inches deep, and 14 inches tall. Unlike the Going Merry, this set focuses on the front exterior walls, revealing the restaurant`s interior when turned around. Both sides are highly detailed, allowing for versatile display. The set also includes the full Sabagashira I ship to place atop the restaurant, Mihawk`s small boat, and an open fish mouth with patio seating for minifigures.

The Baratie comes with 10 minifigures:

  • Luffy
  • Zoro
  • Nami
  • Sanji
  • Usopp
  • Zeff
  • Garp
  • Koby
  • Mihawk
  • Helmeppo

The three-story build features a main dining area, a kitchen, a treasure room, Zeff`s Quarters, and various other spaces to display the minifigures. A wide assortment of accessories is provided for figures dining at the Baratie. If displaying the front of the Baratie, the entrance includes a platform for minifigures, flanked by two balconies with railings on the second level, and additional spots on the top deck.

As the largest build in the lineup, it includes more Wanted posters (five of them) than the other sets.

Lego One Piece: Battle at Arlong Park (75638)

Price: $80 | Pieces: 926

Battle at Arlong Park is a 926-piece playset featuring a destructible pagoda tower and multiple smaller builds. The main building stands over 11 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 4 inches deep.

The tower is a modular build designed for interactive play and destruction. Pressing a minifigure firmly on top will cause it to break into several pieces and topple. Alongside the pagoda, you`ll build Shark Attack and Shooting Gallery booths, a drink shack, and a forest platform. Targets in the Shooting Gallery can be hit with multiple stud shooters, and Arlong`s throne is found under the Shark Attack sign.

The Luffy minifigure in this set is unique, as it includes extra pieces to `stretch` his arms, recreating his iconic battle moves against the Arlong Pirates.

Battle at Arlong Park features three Wanted posters and five minifigures:

  • Luffy with arm-lengthening accessories
  • Nami
  • Usopp
  • Arlong
  • Chu

Lego One Piece: Buggy the Clown`s Circus (75637)

Price: $55 | Pieces: 573

Similar to Battle at Arlong Park, this 573-piece playset is designed to recreate a scene from the Netflix show: the Straw Hat Pirates` clash with Buggy the Clown in his circus tent.

The circus tent comes with three interactive traps for the minifigures: a cage hanging from the tent, a rotating table, and a water tank. It also features eight seats for your other One Piece minifigures to observe the show.

You`ll receive two Wanted posters and four minifigures with sword accessories:

  • Luffy
  • Buggy
  • Zoro
  • Nami

Windmill Village Hut (75636)

Price: $30 | Pieces: 299

The Windmill Village Hut is a smaller, 299-piece scene set featuring a hut, a wooden bridge, a rowboat, a palm tree, a surfboard, and one Wanted poster. The hut`s roof is removable, revealing a countertop, barstool, and shelving with various supplies.

This set recreates the poignant moment when Shanks gives Luffy his signature straw hat. It comes with three minifigures:

  • Luffy
  • Shanks
  • Makino

Lego One Piece BrickHeadz Figures

Price: $10 each | Exclusivity: Lego Store Exclusives

Finally, two BrickHeadz One Piece figures are available exclusively at the Lego Store. The first is a 136-piece buildable figure of Luffy in his classic red tunic and straw hat. The second is a 176-piece figure of Buggy the Clown, Luffy`s nemesis from Season One of the Netflix series (and the early arcs of the anime and manga).
