Lego Fortnite: Mecha Team Leader Launches, Plus Sales on Popular Sets

The Lego Fortnite building set collection has recently welcomed a new member: the eagerly awaited Mecha Team Leader (77078). First revealed in April, this intricate 2,503-piece robot kit officially launched on August 1st, now available at the Lego Store and major retailers. Priced at $250, it`s the second large-scale display model designed with adult collectors in mind within the series.

In conjunction with this new release, several other popular Fortnite Lego sets are currently on sale. The Peely Bone set (1,414 pieces), previously one of the larger display models, is now discounted to $92, down from its original $100 price. For those looking for more affordable options, the iconic Supply Llama, a 691-piece build, can be purchased for just $34 (originally $40). Additionally, the compact 193-piece Durrr Burger set is a bargain at $11, reduced from its $15 MSRP.

Lego Fortnite Collection & Current Deals

The Lego Fortnite series made its debut last fall with four initial sets, including the three mentioned above that are now on sale. The fourth original set, the 954-piece Battle Bus, remains at its standard $100 price. Similarly, the three sets introduced in June—Klombo, Durrr Burger Restaurant, and Peely & Sparkplug`s Camp—are currently available at their regular retail prices, which is expected given their recent release.

Detailed Descriptions of Individual Lego Fortnite Sets

Lego Fortnite: Mecha Team Leader

As the most complex and detailed build in the Lego Fortnite range, the 2,503-piece Mecha Team Leader stands an impressive 17.5 inches tall. It`s a fantastic amalgamation of various Fortnite elements: one leg features a Durrr Burger foot, while the other is inspired by Uncle Pete`s Pizza Pit with a Tomatohead foot. Its right arm, influenced by Rex, appears as if a dinosaur is wielding the Sword of Singularity, and the left arm is modeled after the legendary fox Drift. The design is completed by the Cuddle Team Leader-inspired head and chest armor, creating a unique “killer robot teddy bear” aesthetic. The Lego model boasts articulated hips, arms, feet, and a rotating head. A hidden hatch on its chest reveals a cockpit for the included Cuddle Team Leader minifigure. The set also comes with a buildable name placard and two bonus in-game outfits: Mecha Team Leader and Mecha Team Shadow. Its broad appeal might even see it displayed alongside other iconic robot builds, such as Lego`s Optimus Prime.

Lego Fortnite Peely Bone

Prior to the Mecha Team Leader, the 1,414-piece Peely Bone buildable statue was the most elaborate in the series. This display model was part of the initial four sets that launched the Lego Fortnite collection last fall and is packaged in a black box, indicating its focus on adult collectors and experienced builders. When fully assembled with its buildable stand, Peely Bone stands over 14 inches tall, complete with the Peely Pick Pickaxe, Paint Launcher, and a Banana Bag Back Bling. Despite its statuesque nature, the figure`s arms and wrists are posable, allowing for various dynamic displays. The distinctive half-skeleton, half-banana design offers a clever building experience due to its unique asymmetrical parts. As a launch set, Peely Bone includes the in-game “Operation Brite Starter Pack” bonus. At its original $100 price, it offered great value, which is even better now at $92.

Lego Fortnite Supply Llama

The Supply Llama has served as Fortnite`s primary mascot since the game`s inception, and this set allows fans to construct their own Lego brick Llama Piñata. This 691-piece set measures 9.5 x 3 x 6 inches and features a saddle compartment designed to store seven accessories, including a Grappler, Slurp Juice, and Dynamite. The Supply Llama`s mouth is also posable. As one of the original launch sets, it grants the “Operation Brite Starter Pack” bonus for in-game use. Even at its full $40 price, the Supply Llama provides excellent value for a licensed set of its piece count, and its current $34 deal makes it an exceptional bargain.

Lego Fortnite Durrr Burger

This compact 193-piece build accurately recreates the iconic mascot from Fortnite`s in-game fast-food restaurant. The Durrr Burger Lego set measures 4.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 inches, making it considerably smaller than most other sets in the Lego Fortnite collection. Despite its size, it includes the “Operation Brite Starter Pack” in-game bonus and is currently available for a very affordable $11.

Lego Fortnite Battle Bus

The Battle Bus is a 954-piece set that faithfully recreates Fortnite`s signature balloon-propelled flying vehicle. This detailed model measures 11 x 11 x 5 inches and comes with nine Fortnite minifigures, each equipped with a weapon, who can be seated inside the bus. The clever design allows the balloon and roof to be easily removed, providing access to the interior seating area. Accessories included are Slap Juice, the Grappler, Slurp Juice, and several Pickaxes. The Battle Bus features turning wheels, making it suitable for display or imaginative play. This set also grants the “Operation Brite Starter Pack” bonus for the Lego Fortnite video game.

Lego Fortnite: Peely & Sparkplug’s Camp

Peely & Sparkplug’s Camp is a 250-piece set that builds a workbench and campfire within the remains of a destroyed structure. The main appeal of this budget-friendly playset lies in its included characters: a buildable wolf with posable legs, a small Supply Llama, and three minifigures – Peely armed with a sword, Skeleton with a pickaxe, and Sparkplug holding a torch. The $23 set includes the Sparkplug rare outfit as an in-game bonus.

Lego Fortnite: Klombo

At 1,084 pieces, Klombo is currently the largest Lego Fortnite playset, dedicated almost entirely to constructing a six-legged, dinosaur-like creature. This impressive action figure features numerous interactive components, including an opening/closing mouth, a turnable head, articulated legs (all six), adjustable spikes/hair, and a rotating tail. Klombo is accompanied by two minifigures, Adventure Peely and Oro, who can be attached to Klombo`s back or feed the creature using the included Klomberry bush accessory with removable berries. The set’s bonus is the “Island Adventure Peely” in-game outfit.

Lego Fortnite: Durrr Burger Restaurant

Launched in June, the 546-piece Durrr Burger Restaurant is the first building from the world of Fortnite to be transformed into a Lego set. The completed restaurant, which resembles a half-restaurant structure, stands 10.5 inches tall (thanks to the buildable Durrr Burger attached to its sign) and measures 7 inches wide by 3.5 inches deep. Inside, builders will find a cash register, a soda machine, and a condiment station for minifigures. The two-story modular design includes an attic with a storage container for accessories like a shovel and dynamite, and can be rearranged or combined with other Fortnite Lego sets. Outside, there`s a drive-thru menu and a decorative spicy pepper plant. The Durrr Burger Restaurant includes four minifigures: Beach Bomber, Beef Boss, Grimey, and Skeleton, and provides a Beef Boss Outfit as an in-game bonus.
