Two years ago, Baldur`s Gate 3 emerged from early access and quickly captured players` hearts, becoming one of the most beloved RPGs of its generation. To mark this anniversary, Larian Studios has unveiled intriguing and rare statistics compiled from player choices over the past two years.
Among the more unique achievements, only 2.07% of players managed to defeat 20 opponents while inebriated, and a mere 1.82% earned 100 gold by performing music. Larian shared several infographics on the Baldur`s Gate 3 Steam page, revealing, for instance, that 3.87% of players defeated Gortash at Wyrm`s Rock without triggering any traps. Half a million players have completed the game in Honor mode, compared to 1.1 million who finished it in Tactician mode. Remarkably, among those who braved Honor mode, only 4,647 players managed to beat it with a Level 1 character.

When it came to the most respecced companions, the results were not surprising. Shadowheart topped the list with 4,890,005 players changing her class, seemingly split evenly between a Life Cleric and a Death Cleric. Wyll was the second most respecced companion with 1,417,506 instances, while Gale came in third with 684,454 changes.
For truly unconventional decisions, only 350 players respecced Minsc into a Death Domain Cleric, and 598 players adopted a child with Wyll. Larian also announced plans to expand the official toolkit for mods. Since September 2024, over 8,500 Baldur`s Gate 3 mods have been created, accumulating more than 265 million downloads.
Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke recently extended his gratitude to Baldur`s Gate 3 players for their support and briefly hinted at the studio`s next project. Earlier this year, Vincke provided an extensive interview, discussing the reasons behind the decision not to develop DLC for Baldur`s Gate 3 and the company`s stance on AI in game development. The final major patch for Baldur`s Gate 3 was released in April.
