KPop Demon Hunters Arrive in Fortnite with New Skins, Items, and a Special Mode

The hugely popular Netflix series, KPop Demon Hunters, is set to make a significant impact on Fortnite starting October 2. This collaboration extends beyond simple character outfits, with the HUNTR/X group integrating into Battle Royale, Blitz, and Creative modes. They will essentially kick off the Fortnitemares event, dominating the first week before the main Halloween festivities commence. A teaser video showcases the upcoming additions.

The Fortnite x KPop Demon Hunters crossover introduces a substantial amount of new content across the game`s ecosystem. Players can expect at least three new weapons and items in Battle Royale and Blitz, including Rumi`s sword, Mira`s Spicy Ramyeon, and an updated teleporting void mask. Furthermore, `Demon Rush,` a KPop Demon Hunters-themed reimagining of the classic Horde Rush mode (a seasonal October favorite), will be available. For those creating custom experiences, KPop Demon Hunter-themed items and NPCs will be accessible within Unreal Engine for Fortnite (UEFN), similar to past collaborations like Squid Game and The Walking Dead.

Naturally, outfits for every member of HUNTR/X will be available in the item shop. However, there has been no official announcement regarding any related jam tracks.

October promises to be a packed month for Fortnite enthusiasts. Alongside the impending Fortnitemares event, which is expected to drastically alter Battle Royale`s loot pool, October 2 also ushers in Fortnite OG Season 6, followed by the launch of Fortnite Festival Season 11 on October 9. While the new music pass is generally anticipated to feature original Fortnite content rather than licensed music and skins, the prominent KPop Demon Hunters integration has sparked speculation that HUNTR/X could potentially headline the new Festival season. This remains unconfirmed, as no leaks about the upcoming Festival season have emerged.

The KPop Demon Hunters crossover is merely one of many significant Fortnite collaborations slated for this month.
