Kojima Productions officially announced on September 1st that its upcoming 10th-anniversary celebration would offer a sneak peek at future projects.
Named “Beyond the Strand,” the event is scheduled for broadcast on IGN on September 23rd. For Tokyo residents, it begins at 1 PM, translating to 9 PM PT on September 22nd, midnight ET on September 23rd, and 5 AM BST for viewers in the UK on September 23rd.
Hideo Kojima himself will host the event, though the specific topics remain under wraps. Currently, the renowned developer is involved in multiple endeavors, such as the games OD and Physint, a Death Stranding film produced by A24, and an animated Death Stranding series.
The current iteration of Kojima Productions, established in December 2015, is approaching its tenth year. Prior to this, an earlier version of the studio operated within Konami from 2005 until Kojima`s departure in 2015.
Under its current banner, Kojima Productions has launched two titles: Death Stranding (2019) and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (scheduled for 2025). While Kojima has conceived concepts for a potential Death Stranding 3, he has indicated no personal plans to develop it.
Despite recently turning 62, an age where many consider retirement, Kojima has affirmed his intention to continue creating throughout his life.
