The eagerly awaited medieval action-strategy game, Kingmakers, which uniquely blends historical combat with modern weaponry like AK-47s, grenade launchers, and attack helicopters, has been indefinitely postponed. Developer Redemption Road announced the delay just five days before its scheduled October 8th release, stating the need for more development time to ensure the highest possible quality upon launch.
In an official statement, the studio emphasized the game`s ambitious nature and their commitment to an uncompromising vision. They expressed a reluctance to remove any intended features just to meet an earlier release date, explaining that additional time is required for content refinement before they deem it worthy of its price.
The developers further stated their aim is to deliver an enthralling experience, ensuring every player feels their investment in Kingmakers was worthwhile.
Redemption Road also mentioned plans to release a three-minute “deep dive” gameplay video soon. This upcoming preview is expected to offer a comprehensive look at the team`s ongoing development efforts for Kingmakers.
Kingmakers transports players into a conflict-ridden medieval period, but with a twist. Far from being limited to traditional swords and cavalry, the game explores the intriguing question of how a medieval army might fare against a single individual armed with an AK-47.
The game`s description highlights the diverse arsenal available to players, including assault rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers, armored SUVs, motorcycles, attack helicopters, and air strikes, all to facilitate the smooth alteration of history within the game.
Currently, Kingmakers is confirmed exclusively for PC.
