Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Second DLC, “Legacy of the Forge,” Gets Release Date

The next expansion for the acclaimed RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, titled “Legacy of the Forge,” now has an official release date set for September 9th. This marks the second story-driven DLC for the game.

The announcement was made at Gamescom Opening Night Live in Cologne, Germany, accompanied by a new trailer. The expansion`s description highlights that players will “test their blacksmithing skills by rebuilding a burnt-down forge in the heart of Kuttenberg. Design and customize the workshop, its surroundings, and your private quarters—with upgrades that do more than just look good.”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 itself launched in early 2025, receiving several free updates, including horse racing and a hardcore mode. The first paid expansion, “Brushes with Death,” was released in May. Following “Legacy of the Forge,” the “Mysteria Ecclesia” DLC is expected later in 2025. Players can purchase these expansions individually or as part of a $30 bundle.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has achieved significant commercial success, selling 2 million copies within its first two weeks and reaching 3 million units in its initial three months. The game has also garnered widespread critical acclaim.

Developer Warhorse Studios continues to support the game, offering official mod support that allows players to introduce a variety of unique and imaginative content into the game world.
