It’s Morphin’ Time In Fortnite’s Incredible Live-Action Power Rangers Teaser

Epic Games had previously announced that a Spartan from Halo would be featured in the upcoming Fortnite battle pass, but it turns out that was just the beginning. Players can now look forward to not only a Power Ranger and the Megazord within the battle pass, but also a collection of other Rangers available in the item shop. Epic Games revealed this exciting news with an impressive live-action trailer, showcasing the Power Rangers battling a bug invasion that threatens the Fortnite island in the new season.

Beyond the Power Rangers themselves, the teaser also highlights three new weapons set to be introduced in the new season: the Swarmstrike rocket launcher, capable of firing multiple rockets simultaneously; a new laser pistol; and a formidable new mini-gun, which the Red Ranger expertly wields. Additionally, a new battle pass skin is teased – a character with robotic arms controlled via a gamepad.

These announcements corroborate recent leaks: the Green Ranger (Tommy Oliver) will be the final skin of the core battle pass, while a Megazord skin is set to arrive mid-season, around September 16. It`s also anticipated that a player-controlled Megazord, similar to the current Superman ability, will appear on the Battle Royale map around the same time. The trailer`s description confirms a Power Ranger skin bundle will be available in the item shop, featuring the Red, Black, Yellow, Pink, and Blue Rangers. Crucially, this bundle will also include a jam track of the show`s classic theme song.

The new Fortnite Battle Royale season is scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 7.
