Introducing CardMill: The AI Device That Organizes Your Trading Card Collection

For enthusiasts of trading card games such as Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Star Wars Unlimited, the challenge of managing sprawling collections is well-known. Many players find themselves with stacks of unsorted cards awaiting categorization or placement into binders. This often tedious task is now being addressed by CardMill, a new company launching a Kickstarter campaign for its innovative sorting device, also named CardMill, promising to streamline this process.

How CardMill Works

Capable of processing up to 300 cards simultaneously, the CardMill device automates the sorting process. It also meticulously logs each card into a dedicated web portal, ensuring easy access to your collection data whenever needed. The device offers versatile sorting options, programmable to organize cards by criteria like set, color, type, or alphabetically, as detailed on CardMill`s official website.

Supported Games

According to its Kickstarter page, the CardMill device will initially support popular titles, with plans to expand compatibility to more games in the future. Currently supported games include:

  • Magic: The Gathering
  • Pokémon
  • Yu-Gi-Oh!
  • Disney Lorcana
  • One Piece
  • Star Wars Unlimited
  • Flesh and Blood

AI-Powered Recognition and Valuation

The CardMill system incorporates advanced “AI-powered card recognition” technology, designed to evolve and adapt alongside your growing collection. Furthermore, its accompanying web portal will provide real-time TCGPlayer pricing, a valuable feature for users interested in tracking the value of or selling cards from their collections.

Kickstarter Launch and Pricing

The Kickstarter campaign for CardMill is set to commence on July 22 at 9 AM CDT (which translates to 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT). Early supporters will benefit from special pricing: the first 1,000 backers can acquire the device for $350, while subsequent backers will find it available for $400. Deliveries are anticipated to start in December.
