HoYoverse Opens Registration for Petit Planet Beta Playtest

HoYoverse has announced a new round of beta testing for its charming galactic life simulation game, Petit Planet.

Dubbed the “Stardrift Test,” this beta will allow players to experience Petit Planet on PC, iOS, and Android, starting April 21st. The test promises to introduce new neighbors, enhanced Starsea Voyage experiences, and fresh activities such as the Galactic Bazaar. Registration is currently open on the official website.

The narrative of Petit Planet centers on the player assuming the role of a planet tender, embarking into the vast Starsea with their own small planet. As surrounding planets gradually connect, they form a broader galaxy where players can engage in farming, fishing, beachcombing, or simply relax alongside their planet’s fuzzy inhabitants. While terraforming your planet to your liking and customizing your home, you might feel a touch of loneliness; this is where the Galactic Bazaar comes into play. At the Galactic Bazaar, you’ll discover new connections with people and objects, along with various enjoyable activities.

Each bond forged creates a new connection within the universe, enriching it with life. As these bonds deepen and expand the life energy flowing through everything, Luca will shape new landscapes and introduce other wondrous elements into the world.

The beta will introduce new neighbors to meet and build relationships with, each bringing their own stories, personalities, and aspirations to the universe. As a planet tender, players can invite their fuzzy companions to reside on their planet, where heartfelt conversations and thoughtful gifts become part of daily life. Utilizing the Starsea map, players can embark with their neighbors on journeys to vibrant islets. And once exploration concludes, return to the Galactic Bazaar to meet friends for coffee, fortune-telling, auctions, and more.

Petit Planet is already confirmed for PC, iOS, and Android, with launches on other platforms currently under development. Players who pre-register for the beta can also receive exclusive rewards.
