The highly anticipated Version 4.1 update for Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Unraveled for Daybreak,” is set to release on March 25. This significant update will plunge players deeper into the game’s evolving narrative and introduce a wealth of new content.
Following the dramatic conclusion of the Phantasmoon Games, where the Trailblazer’s defeat of the infamous streamer Sparxie garnered widespread attention across Arcadia, the story continues. Capitalizing on this newfound fame, Planarcadia’s CEO, Pearl, is hosting an extravagant expo in collaboration with the Astral Express Crew. This event, dubbed Star Rail FEST, celebrates the numerous adventures experienced throughout Honkai: Star Rail, focusing on the Astral Express’s journey across the cosmos.
Star Rail FEST features three expansive zones for players to explore: the Belobog Zone, Xianzhou Luofu Zone, and Penacony Zone. This grand celebration is a homage to the Trailblazer’s past experiences, offering sights such as colossal balloon figures resembling Supreme Guardian Cocolia, and opportunities to relive iconic moments like a duel against Lord Ravager Phantylia at Scalegorge Waterscape. Among the new explorable locations is the Pearluxe Tower, owned by Pearluxe Corp, which houses an “ultra posable model” of Alloy King Pom-Pom and various themed mechatron activities, further enriching the game’s history.
A major highlight of this update is the introduction of Ashveil as a new playable character. Ashveil, a crucial figure in the unfolding narrative, is known as a “detective unreliable” due to his profound laziness. His initial involvement in the Phantasmoon games was driven by an investigation into a murder in the Dovebrook District. Now, he joins forces with the Astral Express Crew to uncover a conspiracy lurking beneath the surface of the elation feast events.
Ashveil is a five-star Lightning-type character following the Path of the Hunt. He will be available for the entire duration of the Version 4.1 Warp. His abilities are, fittingly, electricity-based. In exploration, he can inflict the stunned state on nearby enemies. In combat, Ashveil provides a significant boost to all allies’ Crit Damage upon entering battle. He can designate one enemy as “bait,” reducing the defense of all other enemies on the field. Reusing this “bait” skill not only grants him an attack boost but also recovers Skill Points for the team.
Ashveil’s combat prowess extends further. When teammates attack the “bait” enemy, he accumulates “gluttony,” which enhances his follow-up attacks. He can unleash repeated “Hounding Pursuit” attacks on the bait target and, impressively, automatically damages the next enemy after defeating one. These capabilities make him a formidable, combat-centric character with a diverse set of skills.
Beyond the main story and new character, Graphia Academy introduces an entirely new activity: Monikerd: The Wispae War Saga. In this tactical game mode, players lead various types of Wispae soldiers, employing strategies, upgrades, and spell cards to achieve victory. Defeating powerful foes unlocks new Wispae companions, and a dedicated mode allows players to challenge outside adversaries.
Upon the Version 4.1 update’s launch on March 25, players who log into the game will receive 10 free Warps as a bonus. Additionally, the Trailblazer will gain access to a Waypoint Pass for unrestricted exploration of any area, alongside a new upgrade system called “A Mask of Elation.”
