Hollow Knight: Silksong Soundtrack Now Available

The highly anticipated game, Hollow Knight: Silksong, has finally been released, bringing with it the much-awaited official soundtrack. Fans can now immerse themselves in the game`s atmospheric music, even outside of playing the game itself.

Christopher Larkin, the talented composer behind the game`s score, has made the soundtrack available for purchase. It can be acquired on Bandcamp for $11.99. The Silksong soundtrack is also offered on Steam at the same price, with a special bundle allowing players to buy both the game (typically $20) and the soundtrack for a reduced price of $25.58, offering a great value for enthusiasts.

Boasting a substantial 53 tracks, the Silksong soundtrack significantly surpasses its predecessor in scope. For comparison, the original Hollow Knight soundtrack featured 26 tracks, and the `Hollow Knight: Gods & Nightmares` DLC added another 15. This means Silksong`s musical collection is larger than the combined total of the original game and its expansions, promising a richer and more expansive auditory experience.

While the original Hollow Knight soundtrack and the Gods & Nightmares collection are available for streaming on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, there is currently no official announcement regarding a streaming debut for the Silksong soundtrack. A vinyl edition of the original Hollow Knight soundtrack was also released and remains available for collectors and audiophiles.

Larkin, who also composed for the original Hollow Knight and its DLC, has an impressive portfolio that includes scores for games such as Pac-Man 256, Outfolded, and the upcoming Moonlighter 2. His personal website describes the Silksong score as expanding on Hollow Knight`s established musical universe, ranging from poignant, melancholic tunes to intense, pulse-pounding boss battle themes, ensuring a diverse and captivating soundscape that complements the game`s world.

Naturally, players can experience this new music directly by playing the game, which many are already doing. Hollow Knight: Silksong has achieved significant concurrent player numbers on Steam, indicating massive player interest. Its highly anticipated launch even led to temporary technical difficulties across various digital storefronts, including Steam, PSN, Xbox, and Nintendo eShop, a testament to its immense popularity and the widespread excitement surrounding its release.
