Squanch Games continues its tradition of absurdity in the highly anticipated sequel, High on Life 2, promising players even more outrageous adventures. At Gamescom, creative director Mikey Spano revealed a shocking detail: the game will feature a fully playable version of the classic Sega`s Bible Adventures.
According to Spano, the character Senator Muppy Doo (voiced by Richard Kind) will be able to “factory reset” your game, leading to an unexpected takeover by Bible Adventures. During this segment, players will be able to experience three classic games from the collection: “Noah`s Ark,” “Baby Moses,” and “David and Goliath.”
The developer expressed his surprise that this idea even came to fruition. Spano admitted that it was always his dream to include Bible Adventures in the game, and thanks to “great connections” in the gaming industry, they managed to secure the necessary rights. “A terrible video game based on the Bible is like the best thing I`ve ever heard in my life. It sucks so bad to play. It`s great,” Spano shared his excitement.
In the first High on Life, players could watch the 1990 movie “Demon Wind” from start to finish, and the Squanch Games team aimed to raise the bar for absurdity in the sequel.
High on Life 2 is scheduled for release in February 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, highlighting the service`s active library expansion.
Among the significant gameplay innovations is the replacement of the standard sprint with a skateboard. This element will not only speed up movement across levels but also allow players to perform tricks, transform locations into skate parks, and even use the board as an improvised weapon in combat.
The original concept for High on Life was developed by Justin Roiland, one of the co-creators of “Rick and Morty,” who later left the studio amidst domestic violence allegations.
