Here’s How Space PvP Game Wildgate Will Be Supported After Launch – GameSpot

Wildgate, the upcoming crew-based PvP game, is generating significant anticipation, and its developer, Moonshot Games, has recently outlined the support players can expect following its release. A newly published roadmap indicates the studio`s commitment to regular events and seasonal content updates.

Having recently concluded an open beta phase, Moonshot shared details about the changes and additions planned for Wildgate upon its full launch next week and in the subsequent period. The game`s release day will feature updates to player progression systems, refinements to matchmaking, the introduction of in-game cosmetic items available for purchase, and a deluxe edition. According to the roadmap, improvements to progression will include a new infamy system, additional milestones and goals for players to pursue, and scrap crates.

Following the initial launch, the developer is set to roll out Season 1. These seasonal updates will introduce new items such as weapons and cosmetic options, a new prospector character, and other fresh content. The studio also intends to implement bi-weekly `reach anomalies,` which represent additions to the game world. As explained in the roadmap, these anomalies can vary widely, from new environmental hazards to upgrades for hardpoints or entirely new points of interest. Once added, these anomalies will become permanent elements within the game`s procedural generation system.

Moonshot and its publisher, Dreamhaven, have also confirmed plans for at least two additional seasons in the future. These seasons will expand the game with new areas, alongside further anomalies, weapons, equipment, and cosmetic items. Beyond the seasonal releases, continuous post-launch support is planned, including mid-season patches designed to implement changes and improvements based directly on player feedback.

Wildgate is scheduled for release on July 22nd, available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, priced at $30. A significant portion of the seasonal content, including new weapons, equipment, characters, and anomalies, will be accessible to all players for free. However, an optional `adventure pass` providing additional cosmetic items will be available for purchase each season, though its cost has not yet been revealed by the developer.
