In less than a month, developer Rogue Factor and publisher Nacon will release the third-person action-adventure title Hell is Us. However, players won`t have to wait long to try it out. Nacon has announced that a demo for the game will be available next week for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S owners.
Nacon confirmed this news on social media, clarifying that the demo will be available on August 12 not only for consoles but also for PC.
In Hell is Us, players assume the role of Remi, a UN peacekeeper who goes AWOL into his homeland, Hadea, to find his missing parents. Accompanied by a drone, he discovers that the country is infested with supernatural creatures known as Hollow Walkers. While the drone can assist Remi in defense, he will primarily rely on melee weapons such as swords, polearms, and axes.
GameSpot had a hands-on experience with Hell is Us in May, which showed that the developers have no intention of holding the player`s hand. Instead of providing direct instructions, Hell is Us requires players to figure things out for themselves and find their way forward with minimal hints. To progress through the story, players will need to pay close attention to in-game conversations with NPCs, following the tradition of Souls-like games.
The full version of Hell is Us will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 4. However, fans who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will receive three days of early access, starting on September 1.
