Guitar Hero Reference Removed from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 After Controversy

A particular Easter egg in the game Tony Hawk`s Pro Skater 3+4 has sparked debate and is slated for removal. Players discovered an in-game item that appears to be a game case resembling Guitar Hero placed inside a trash can.

Given that Neversoft, the studio behind the original Tony Hawk`s Pro Skater series, also developed multiple Guitar Hero titles before closing in 2014, some fans interpreted this reference as disrespectful to the legacy of the former developer. Others suggested it was intended as a simple joke.

The current developer, Iron Galaxy, has issued a statement regarding the controversial item. They expressed deep respect for all game developers and stated they are investigating how the item was included in the game initially. They also confirmed that the game case will be removed in the game`s next update and thanked the community for bringing the issue to their attention.

This is not the first point of contention since the game`s launch, as players have also noted that some Easter eggs are gated behind additional payments.
