Grow A Garden: Updates and Special Events Guide

Are you eager to know about the upcoming updates for Grow A Garden? Since its launch in March 2025, this game has been releasing weekly patches, each bringing exciting new items and activities to keep players engaged in collecting diverse plant and pet variations. Some events feature intricate designs, including challenging obstacle courses (Obbies) and hidden areas waiting to be discovered.

Each update in this popular Roblox game introduces a wealth of new unlockables, such as themed Grow A Garden pets, unique seeds for your garden, and occasionally unprecedented Grow A Garden mutations. The most rewarding events are those that encourage more extensive gameplay, like exploring new regions beyond the main garden. The effort invested is well worth the rewards. Below, you`ll find all available information regarding the next update, current in-game items you should acquire promptly, and details about Admin Abuse events.

When is the Next Grow A Garden Update?

The next Grow A Garden update is scheduled for Saturday, October 11th, at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT. This weekend`s update, titled “Ghoul Garden,” will kick off Grow A Garden`s Halloween celebrations. Players can anticipate spooky themes, Halloween-inspired weather, new seeds, pets, and various quality-of-life improvements. Confirmed shops for this event include Spooky Seeds, Creepy Critters, and Devilish Decor.

During a previous Admin Abuse event, mod Jhailatte hinted that developers are planning to “release some more long-term content soon.” This could potentially refer to evolving seeds and the season pass from the previous week`s event, or it might signal the introduction of permanent new features to the game in the near future.

Current Grow A Garden Event

The ongoing Grow A Garden event commenced on Saturday, October 4th, at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT, and will run for one week. The “Chubby Chipmunk” update features a special event in the center of the map, offering a free Chubby Chipmunk pet. Placing this pet in your garden will cause it to feed every few minutes, resulting in an Acorn spawning on the map. Collecting these Acorns yields one of the following rewards:

  • Watering Can x15 – 14.12%
  • Event Lantern x20 – 12.24%
  • Godly Sprinkler x2 – 11.29%

This condition significantly increases the Chubby Chipmunk`s feeding rate to once every 30 seconds. The amount contributed to the vendor is tracked per player, meaning other players cannot fill it for you, but your progress will be saved if you switch servers.

Admin Abuse Events

An hour before each new update goes live, an “Admin Abuse” event is held to celebrate the incoming changes. Typically, this serves as an opportunity for Jandel or other admins to create playful chaos on the servers. During this hour, special Admin-exclusive Grow A Garden weather effects will occur, shops will be restocked with the rarest items, and minigames will be triggered, awarding participants with cosmetics and other valuable prizes. Occasionally, you might even receive a free ultra-rare pet, such as the Chicken Zombie or Junkbot.

It is highly recommended to participate in this event on a private server or one with very few players. This is because other players` plants might extend beyond their plots, potentially obscuring crucial information or hindering your progress in giveaways. For instance, during the “Find the Pet” weather effect, you need to locate a specific creature before time expires. If that pet is hidden within someone`s overgrown Briar Rose, you could miss out on a rare and free pet. We also suggest staying online a bit longer after the main Admin Abuse event, just in case there`s an encore with additional giveaways and new weather effects.
