Grounded 2 has experienced an incredibly strong launch, quickly breaking the all-time peak concurrent player record for the original game on Steam. This impressive milestone was reached within an hour of its release, showcasing immediate widespread interest and enthusiasm from players.
Xbox commentator Klobrille highlighted Grounded 2`s powerful debut on Steam. According to SteamDB, the open-world survival game attracted over 49,500 concurrent players, significantly surpassing the original Grounded`s peak of 32,012 concurrent players set in 2021. It`s worth noting that Grounded 2 is also readily available via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, in addition to being purchasable.
Grounded 2 was announced just under two months ago during the Xbox Games Showcase in June. The survival title combines the imaginative premise of “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” with the robust survival elements reminiscent of “Rust.” Obsidian Entertainment once again led the development of the sequel, this time receiving valuable assistance from Eidos-Montreal.
